My daughter in vegetative state
Her ammonia level is very high though we gradually decreased
depakote
and stopped it . I’m going through a very hard time. I weep most of the time when I go home. She developed ARDS in the icu and recovered. She doesn’t squiz my hand or do anything that shows life.

I'm so glad I found this forum! I was diagnosed with "atypical epilepsy" a couple of years ago. The reason for the diagnosis was that no brain damage could be found, neither on EEG:s nor on MRI:s (and I have had several of them). For a long time, my only symptoms were blackouts lasting 1-2 minutes. I

Have given up!
I put on the weight some weight from
Depakote
and I'm about a size 6 which isn't terrible but trying on clothes this morning looking for an outfit for interviews was so painful and frustrating and it shouldnt be like this I should be looking forward to it.

Hi I’m new here - wanted to say hello.
Unfortunately I’m extremely drug resistant I’ve discovered after being put on anti depressants which completely de-stabilised me, then queitapine which gave me neuroleptic malignant syndrome, then
depakote
which sent my ALT levels sky rocketing so was taken off that immediately.

Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy
Hi everybody! I'm Lisa from Greece, 31 years old and 4 years ago I was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, after suffering my first (and only) grand mal seizure. Since then I only have myoclonic jerks (they only appear after I wake up, lets say approx once a month). I was on depakine chrono

Planning a pregnancy at 40 with Bipolar 2
I've come off valproate (
depakote
) 4 months ago and am taking nortryptiline 75 mg and olanzapine 2.5 mg, following advice of my psychiatrist. Thankfully, I feel well. Has anyone been referred to a peri natal clinic prior to getting pregnant ? I've asked my gp for a referral to get more info.

Depakote & Sertraline
He has been diagnosed with bi polar and was put on
Depakote
plus his Serraline which he took for years. Since Saturday night whilst at a party he has not stopped drinking. I phoned his doctor as his wife was in a state. We were told to phone the police as he would maybe harm himself.

Rapid increase prescribed for Lamectil
And, although
depakote
can interfere with Lamectil, he advised him to keep the
depakote
amount the same. We are concerned that this might lead to developing a rash which happened before when he had been taking both medications together for about 6 months.

Lithium day 1
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and severe anxiety years ago and was treated with everything from
depakote
to klonopin and on and on and on. Those days on those meds are gone and my bipolar recently started getting worse. DP and panic attacks came on much harsher than normal.

Help with Blood Test Results
I have just found out with research etc etc etc,
Depakote
and Quetiapine is like arsenic as such to anyone suffering from PCOS. My hormones have completely gone out the window.

STRESSED AND FUSTRATED
He is on seroquel,
depakote
and a prn Ativan to help him relax, none of theses meds are helping and he seems to be getting more upset. When I take him to see his geriatric psychiatrist he seems like he doesn't know what to do. What the hell are we seeing him for?

Anyone with similar experience
About 3 to 4 years ago ,through reading, I thought I most likely suffered from Bipolar 2 ,told my GP who referred me to a psychiatrist who confirmed this diagnosis and prescribed a mood stabiliser (
depakote
).
