Buprenorphine (sp?)
This is a paper on the use of Buprenorphine in older people rather than Oxycontin ( as some of us are) it talks about addiction-- but I prefer to see it as dependency!😩😎 May be worth talking to your pain manager about it? https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/923754 Cheers.

No obvious endo on ultra sound
I had a internal ultra sound yesterday and was told that there wasn’t anything obvious but I have all the symptoms and it runs in generations of my family (Nan, Aunties, mum. All had early hysterectomies and one sadly passed with ovarian cancer). Have any of you had nothing show on the ultra sound but

Do anyone need Hemodialysis Home Supplies?
Hi everyone, We are newly home from a liver and kidney transplant and have a large number of dialysis supplies that we no longer need. We had just ended our first week of home dialysis when we got the call for the transplant. The supplies are new and in unopened shipping boxes. I hate to see this go

Tapering and taste buds
Taste buds and Tapering?? Taste buds no longer experience flavors----Tapered from 1.5 to 1.0 in the slow program. Everything has no taste. Anyone experienced this? Is it connected to Prednisone taper? Thank you for your feedback.

New Oncologst
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted but i do follow everyone’s posts. I’m seriously considering getting a new oncologist. Whenever I have called in the past with a symptom or side effects, I am mostly told “oh that’s not not a side effect” or “it doesn’t sound cancer related”. Well a few

Bowels misbehaving!
sorry for the delicate nature of this post! I finished chemo 5 weeks ago, all through cycle 5 & 6 I had diarrhoea and unfortunately it has continued. My recent scan was clear so my hospital are not overly concerned, they were pleased that Imodium works very well, but I can't take it for ever! can I?

Deja vu or something else?
Hi. I know you can't specifically 'diagnose ' or medically advise but I was wondering if you experience anything like this and if you know what it is. I can't get my doctor to take it seriously. I have a tbi that I got after a car crash in January 2007. I suffered a diffuse axon injury to my right

Hello from Indiana, USA
My husband and I were both English teachers. He is 11 years older than me and retired in 2014, a year after having five stents put in his heart. I took early retirement in 2017, a month before he was diagnosed with PSP. I started noticing cognitive symptoms on a trip to Ireland in 2012. The years that

Gemcitabine and Carboplatin tomorrow
Good evening fellow teal friends. I saw my oncologist this morning and I am starting Gemcitabine and Carboplatin in the morning. My Ca125 has gone up to 374 from 166 in December and I have the new tumours. I am pleased that I can still have chemo although I'm slightly concerned by comments like "it's

Vaginal itching...
I'm 39 and have been suffering with vaginal itching on and off for 6 months now, and it's driving me mad. There is no noticable smell or discharge but the inside of my vaginal lips are really pale, almost white.. I've had the usual swabs at the docs and all come back clear. Been giving a steroid cream

It is with immense sorrow, I tell you that, My darling husband, Tony, passed away on Monday 30th December. He died at home , as we both wished. with support from wonderful Palliative care nurses. The only consolation is that he is now free from this dreadful disease and at peace. The last few months

Spinal Compression
My brother recently experienced a spinal compression incident (between T5 and 6). This eventuated or perhaps more accurately, accelerated from two weeks earlier when he started to feel 'sluggishness' of leg movement to complete leg paralysis after he had 5 sessions of SBRT (total 20 Grays). Good movement

Nasty Oral Thrush from Steroid Inhaler.
Hi there! I have adult related asthma. I was diagnosed with this about four years ago. I take capsules (Carbocisteine /Montelukast) to thin out the gunk on my lungs and I have two inhalers: a Blue reliever inhaler (Ventolin) and a Pink Forstair steroid inhaler that I use morning and night.
