Antibiotics and cavities
Also, how many of you had a lot of cavities or
dental
caries
? I am just wondering if our oral and gut floras were trashed which led to PD. By the way if you are suffering from constipation like I have been I started eating tons of Greek yogurt.

Prednisone and teeth.
Since I was diagnosed with PMR over 30 months ago, I, like everyone else, was given prednisone... During the past four months I have found a deterioration in my well kept and cared for teeth. Two of my front teeth have broken 🥲, and three teeth have started to wiggle. This is quite a shock to

Statins with ckd4?
I've been advised to take 20mg of statins but I am worried about the effect on my kidneys (CKD 4). Has anyone taken them? I know that my renal team wouldn't let me have them if I was in any danger and I understand that I am more at risk for heart failure or attack but would like your experiences with

Continuing discussion of Adaptive Theory-- Why does early chemotherapy result in lower response rates to Lu-177 and immunotherapy??
Greetings FPC warriors, In the spirit of continuing cujoe's look at Adaptive Theory, I raise the question of whether early chemotherapy plays a role in creating resistance. Recently, posters/bloggers have been showing some of the early results reported from PEACE I trial, but the question remains as

Thrush treatment for BV?
Hi! So I had a positive test from the doctors for BV but was prescribed fluconazole (which I’m unable to take for other health reasons). The doctor then prescribed canesten pessary and cream thrush treatment (which I am also unable to take due to ongoing bleeding). Is it normal to be given thrush treatment

If the benefits of AZ vaccine highly outweigh the risks, why is the position of GP's not to administer it with sedatives ASAP to my son?
My son has Autism and Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, he is registered with his GP as Clinically vulnerable. As his main carer I was offered the Coronavirus Vaccine under the conditions of being a carer for a person that is clinically vulnerable. However, as he is so scared of needles and has a known history

Dry mouth and post-inhalation mouth rinse
Hello - advice please. I use Fostair with an inhaler and always rinse then gargle, but with water only. My mouth is always dry particularly at night. Is there a mild mouth rinse that might be better than water, and could it help with the dry mouth?

Dental treatment on Apixaban
Hi everyone, I am in the unfortunate position of needing a dental implant for a broken front tooth/crown. Not only is this extremely expensive but I am also concerned about bleeding as I am on apixaban. Has anyone had a similar experience with invasive dental treatments whilst on blood thinners?

Buprenorphine patch
I have been on 5 microgram patches for over 2 years now. Apart from feeling sleepy more often than I did before they are brilliant. The only bad point is the staying out of the heat. I've done 2 years of staying in the shade and I really miss the sun bathing. 🌞
