PSA in lower range, yet PSMA PET SCAN shows diffuse bone Metastasis
He has also been put on
Denosumab
, and given the second shot few days back. How is condition is like, in terms of survival , prognosis and what else can we consider, as he is not fit for chemotherapy.

Osteoporosis - treatment or not ??
I think it would be helpful to add in Vitamin D 2000IU daily to your treatment and also
Denosumab
60mg sub-cut six monthly. Your GP will be able to do this treatment for you. I have chosen this rather than a bisphosphonate, given your gastroesophageal reflux."

Could it be
Denosumab
? I need to follow up and check what it was. It might be on my notes. I made it clear that I wouldn't have anything that might prevent me from having dental treatment and that I had never had a DEXA scan.

Prolio SE
Two questions: 1) The SE are VERY SCARY when I read this: https://www.drugs.com/comments/
denosumab
/prolia.html But, then again, uneventful outcome folks are not likely to post. Sooo... what has been your SE experience? 2) Never had a subcutaneous shot so what's that like? Mel

Cabazitaxel and estrogen patch
Denosumab
and Zoledronic acid don't work for him. I suggested an Estrogen patch to both maintain bone density and ameliorate hot flashes. His oncologist said that an Estrogen patch would interfere with the Cabazitaxel. I can't find any literature in the subject.

Risedronate Sodium v Denosumab (Prolia)
I have read that if you stop taking prolia, you can get rebound effects. Is this also true with Risedronate ? I am still in a deliberating which to take (if any) Thanks

Where to go after Lutetium 177?
Because of jaw numbness, the oncologists ceased his once per month
Denosumab
about 3 months ago. Jaw has slightly improved, but no one seems to know if the cause is
Denosumab
or the Hep E that we contracted, or something else.

regimen (details on my profile) His PSA had increased slightly in the last few readings but he has largely been asymptomatic 12/22 - 0.81 03/23 - 0.83 06/23 - 1.21 Based on the above our Oncologist suggested a PSMA scan and a repeat of PSA test

Told that I can’t have Zoledronic Acid.
I’ve previously had a severe reaction to
Denosumab
, so I’m getting very low on options. I am truly grateful that my hospital has my best interests at heart Literally! Any thoughts or advice gratefully received! X 👼🏻❤️🙏🏻X

Fever after the monthly degarelix shot
Hi All, My father has his degarelix and
denosumab
subcutaneous injections every 4 weeks as prescribed. Of late he has started getting fevers in the night on the day of the shot. The fever usually lasts for a day and resolves on its own.

Dexa Scan
They are suggesting
Denosumab
or Zoledrante. My total spinal T score is -2.4 from -2.0, Neck of Femur is -2 from -1.6, and total hip is -0.6 from -0.4. I take Adcal and try to have a good diet. I don’t want to take anything else and any advice how to deal with the Dr on this is appreciated

Denosomab and Dental Treatment
To my surprise, the hospital notified my dentist that there was no need for me to have the extractions in a hospital as problems with
Denosumab
were very rare and did not merit hospitalisation.

Bone Health issues re:Bisphosphonnates, etc. ????
I'm back again for further research about the bone density medications, and now wondering about the use of bisphosphonates,
denosumab
and teriparatide? My PCP is suggesting these, but he's not current with the research about estrogen and testosterone use for PCa care.

Dry Mouth & the Advanced PC Patient (for those on Pluvicto or meds or ICI, where a side effect is dry mouth) - A Guide
Drugs such as zoledronic acid (Zometa),
denosumab
(Prolia or Xgeva) and IV bisphosphonates can be effective, but come with an increased risk for osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ). ONJ occurs when cells in the jaw bone die and the body tries to rid itself of the dead bone.

Collagen Peptide supplements and bone quality
There are a series of things that can be done -- 1, Get a DEX scan now 2, Supplement with Calcium, K2, D3 and magnesium 3, Have your MO or whoever put you on BMD medication (eg
denosumab
, et al) Now comes the question.

I am stable and still on my 1st line of treatment which is Palbociclib 75mg, letrozole,
denosumab
and zoladex. Because of low neutrophils I am on a 6 wk cycle, 3weeks on 3 weeks off, with the
denosumab
being 6 weekly inline with the other treatment which I administer myself.
