Ectopic Beats Don't, In Themselves Constitute Afib. Correct?
I am 5 weeks out from my first Cyroablation which apparently went well. Also, the migraines I reported here did, as others predicted, end after about two weeks, thank God. Since the ablation, I have some eptopics that I didn't have before ablation on the same dose of Flecainide I'm on now. I know Bob

Heart Failure Question
Hello I am looking for some perspective I think. My husband was not treated for his AF and high heart rate for four weeks until I managed to get him to ignore the GP and go to A& E, He was diagnosed with heart failure (35%) and is now on 8 different drugs. He had a follow up procedure booked (cardioversion

How long does it normaly take Dofetilide to work?
I have been taking dofetilide for just over 1 month. I don't have AF but thousands of PAC's, ectopics and atrial tachycardia every day. These palpitations keep me awake for hours every night. So far I have seen no relief from palpitations. I see the doctor next week and I want to get off the pills because

Post ablation arrhythmia
I am almost 4 months post ablation for atrial fibrillation. Whilst jogging after my daughter, who was on her scooter, I had an odd heart episode. It may have been AF, but it felt like it could also have been ectopics combined with sinus rhythm - my heart was already beating quite fast, which made it

Coming off medication
Hi all, well it’s 1 AM just woke up , heart thumping , headache, long gaps in between beats on Apple Watch , I feel really strange. It feels like it’s missing a beat but not sure, the Watch says 76 bpm and sinus rhythm. I’m guessing it’s something to do with halving the bisoprolol and flecainide. Any

Shall I go for an ablation?
I’m a 72 year old woman who used to be for ever off on some long haul trip but I haven’t had a holiday for well over two years now. After a very scary ‘collapse’ in January 2021, I was diagnosed with af . I had my first cardioversion in May last year (just one shock) and it kept me in sinus rhythm

Sliding into persistent Afib
Hello I am on Flecaine 200 ( slow release) and 3.75 Bisoprolol. I usually get episodes 1 or 2 times a month the longest lasting between 5 an7 hours which self resolve. However last Saturday/Sunday night at 2 in the morning I popped into Afib. This lasted until in 1 pm the next day. I was a bit wiped

Ectopic beats are a pain.
Hello everybody, hope you’re all as well as can be, 10 months post 2nd ablation and over a month ago came off of flecainide, still taking bisoprolol and apixaban. I spoke to my ep last week and said all was well was having some bumps but felt the ablation was blocking them quite well, hunky dory we both

Failed fourth ablation
My husband just had his 4th ablation (first one was way back in 2007), surgeon just shrugged and said it was a no go, too much scarring from previous ones...told pacemaker next...so sad. He's in constant flutter mode right now and we don't know what to do? If it flips into fibrillation, do we go back

Stress test
At my recent visit to EP he said he would schedule me for stress test. I asked why and he said it had been 4 yrs. since I had one and he didn’t want to miss anything. I told him after my last one I didn’t plan to do it again! My afib is brought on by extreme physical stress and/or extreme emotional

Afib
I have been taking 5.mg of Apixaban twice a day for a year for Afib I have no energy whatsoever so tired all the time. Blurred vision aching legs. Can’t go on like this. Anybody else on Apixaban experience these systoms? My house is a mess can’t find the energy to do simple tidying up.

An anniversary....of sorts
It was four years ago today that I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter and given a DC cardioversion (after the chemical cardioversion failed). I remember sitting despondently in the hospital bed, thinking I now have a heart issue that will need declaration on travel insurance and could have a big impact

Another blip
First since late December, this time didn't even have a cold or anything that usually makes the HR go up and the AF kick in. Had been at work yesterday, drank OK (I thought) and although going 8 miles around the ward didn't feel too manic. Have been a bit stressed this week with wife being on nights

Nightly afib!
Well, despite trying everything from magnesium taurate to arginine, vitamin C and D and everything in between. I still get nightly episodes of afib that wake me usually between tow to three hours after going to bed! I can always self terminate these episodes using a variety of vagal manoeuvres but I’

Matcha green tea
Hello … I am thinking about starting to drink this type of tea. I have read that it is very healthy. I cannot drink coffee because it is too caffeinated. This supposedly has half the caffeine per cup but it is still somewhat caffeinated. Has anyone tried this type of tea? I am afraid that it might
