Heart Ablation vs Just Continuing Medications
Hi! I am struggling with making a decision to follow thru with my scheduled Heart Ablation procedure, or just continue my current medications that I have been on for almost 3 years. I am currently taking Diltiazem, Eliquis, and Flecainide, and have not had an espisode since I started the Flecainide

Is it the Medication or am I Losing it?
Do you do daft things? This morning I picked up my toothbrush and instead of putting toothpaste on it picked up a tube of face wash cream and spread that on my toothbrush, as soon as the brush went in my mouth I knew what I'd done. Last week I took a carton of orange juice out of the fridge and poured

Digoxin, upset stomach
My husband has been on digoxin for three weeks and has had to come off them for 7 days to see if that’s what has been causing lots of unwanted trips to the toilet for last two weeks . They have upped his bisoprolol from 7.25 to 10mg a day to see if they can eliminate the cause for 7days . I’m worried

Vivid dreams and disturbed sleep
I dread going to bed! I used to be such a good sleeper but since taking Sotalol I have suffered.Does anyone in this group who take Sotalol get the same problems? Often the dreams are so vivid and weird they wake me with my heart pounding and then I have to decide if it's triggered my afib. I must say

Visual disturbances after ablation
1 week post op and everyday I have had vision issues... blurriness, auras, tunnel vision. It happened while I was in the hospital still and they ruled out stroke, but the issue has persisted. Wondering if anyone else has experienced vision issues after an ablation and can provide some insight Thanks!

Pacemaker
Good morning so for months I have had feelings of fainting and hardly left my home. Anyway I finally had ecg echocardigram and R test. Saw my cardiologist yesterday and he said that I am now bracycardic as well as having Af so will need a pace maker. Bit of a shock. Also to immediately cut my propanalol

Hi to Everyone, Hoping for some advice, information on what to expect next. Had an ICD fitted in Feb 2022 and was put on max dose of Betablockers , 200 mg. Alas over the weekend had a series of dizzy spells which ended with a massive shock from the ICD. Emergency admission, very dramatic, followed

ICD therapy and reapplying for driving licence
I am approaching the time when I should be able to start applying for my driving licence. I had an ICD fitted last August and voluntarily surrendered my licence. It was tough, but I did it over the phone and the DVLA person was really helpful and empathetic. I then received device therapy in October,

Update on the AF journey…
Hi all, This isn’t so much a question but thought I’d post the ongoing journey…Be interested in what others think anyway. So AF started 22nd July ( or thereabouts). I started flecainide 50mg bd ( twice a day 😉) on 15th August and after 3 days on it on 18th I went back into sinus rhythm. Meantime

No diagnosis - still in hospital on my 34 th day!
Hi all, I was asked to update after I scattered a few posts earlier in the month seeking information following a collapse (syncope) while running in my local Parkrun. That was back on January 27th.I bigged up my ILR as it later showed I had had a left ventricular tachycardia lasting for 23 seconds.

Persistant AF but the irregular irregular variety.
Diagnosed April 23 via ECG with persistant AF but not the high pulse rate variety most members seem to have. Mine is always irregular and my pulse constantly ranges between 60 and 90. Not particularly aware of it. Prescribed Nebivilol as beta blocker and Edoxoban as anti coagulant. Marginal Stage 1

Heartbeat post cardioversion
Had 2 cardioversions within 3 months of initial diagnosis of Afib back in November 2019. Fine until arrythmia returned early July this year. Initially told to stop my regular Bisoprolol 1.25mg per day until cardioversion which I had mid August. Back in nsr since then. After the latest cardioversion

Bisoprolol - dramatic change in hr.
hello. HR has been 120- 130 for a while now taking either 5mg or 7.5mg bisoprolol. The increase in dose to 7.5 mg maybe made an average 5bpm difference. At this point I was in Atrial flutter most of the time. Trying to bring my hr down , it was suggested to me that I increase to 10 mg and then possibly
