I had a craniotomy 2014. Acquired TBI. My husband is a veteran. He too has ptsd but there is no way he will admit it. I have ptsd too. The horrible world situation is too much for me. I can no longer discuss it with him. It is triggering. But he does not stop. He discusses with his brother daily. I have

Health tips for first round of radio and chemo
my 76 yrs old mum was recently diagnosed with grade 4 brain tumour which was 90% removed this wk by craniotomy. She tolerated the craniotomy very well and was discharged the next day after surgery. Some numbness to left side but this was there prior to surgery and appears to have stayed the same thankfully

No brain flap post craniotomy and 2nd brain washout surgery
I would be grateful to hear the experience of anyone who is living with no bone flap. I got an infection after craniotomy and had to have an emergency brain washout five weeks later as there was no aftercare due to the lack of NHS resources currently. I now have to decide whether to have a cranioplasty

Has anyone taken Avastin?
I have been prescribed Avastin--an IV injection--for inflammation in the brain. I have a brain lesion (on MRI) and they can't determine if it is more tumor or necrosis. It is at the site of an original tumor which was removed via craniotomy in 2018 with follow-up SRS to the tumor bed. Current lesion

Awake craniotomy
Morning, it looks like my husband has tumour regrowth. A final perfusion scan on Thursday to confirm. The neurosurgeon has advised that next steps could be an awake craniotomy. Does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks

Is one sided body weakness (muscle weakness) is curable after Meningioma resection?
Hi,It has been 1 year and 4 months, I had 100% removal of meningioma "grade 1" via craniotomy, 3.2 cm in size at the back of right hemisphere, My doctor told me the seizures will vanish away completely after meningioma resection, and the anticonvulsant/antiepileptic medications have been reduced to

After surgery..
I had a craniotomy in April 2021 and I still have short term memory loss. I am also dealing with the consequences of personality changes that have had an effect on my friends and family. I feel like two different people, who I was before and who I am now. Has anyone in this community experienced something
