4 days after debulking surgery
hi all, Mum had her
debulking
surgery
on Thursday evening and it was very successful. Full removal of ovaries, uterus, omentun, appendix etc. However she is really really struggling with pain as they think the bowel has gone to sleep. This also means she’s not really slept.

I was diagnosed high grade stage 3c peritoneal in Autumn 2021, I have had carbo/taxol/avastin,
debulking
surgery
. Followed by avastin alone which did not work, then carbo/caelyx which worked very well. I have had just over a year on Niraparib but sadly it is no longer working.

liver concerns
I had clear cell ovarian cancer and had
debulking
surgery
and hysterectomy a year ago. I recently had sudden right side and back pain and had a scan with blood work. Everything came out ok except my liver numbers (ast and alt) were super high. Could this indicate the start of a reoccurrence?

HIPEC
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in December, I’ve since had 3 cycles of chemo (to which I’ve had a good response) and will be having
debulking
surgery
soon. My surgeon has said I am suitable for HIPEC.

Extremely bad acid heartburn
She hasn’t had chemo for 4 weeks but they did attempt
debulking
surgery
which didn’t work. So we are not sure if it’s something to do with the blood thinners or she’s worried it is the cancer. has anyone else suffered after attempted / failed surgery? Or just in general thanks

When should chemo restart post interval debulking surgery?
Hello ladies I am almost 5 weeks post surgery now and my consultant is happy to restart me on chemo now. Just wondered what experiences others have had in terms of coping with the ongoing recovery & chemo side effects. Thank you 🤗

Good news
After a
debulking
surgery
, pleural infusion drainage, and chemo, she started taking Olaparib and the disease has been stable since. I just wanted to share the good news with you, as she had a PET scan this month, 4 years from the diagnosis, and it showed stable disease!!!

Feeling a bit nervous. What next?
Dear ladies, advice sought Am stage 4a and have had
debulking
surgery
and chemo. Took Niraparib for a year but it stopped working and I had spread to my liver. I finished 6 rounds of chemo late Oct and had bloods and a CT scan. Chemo has shrunk the cancer in my liver so that was good news.

Recovering from debulking
Hi - I had successful
debulking
surgery
2 weeks ago (womb, ovaries, omentum, bit of the peritoneum) and am walking quite well, albeit slowly. There is not too much pain, most of it seems to be intestinal.

Ovarian cancer recurrence
I had an ultra radical
debulking
surgery
in August that year, followed by 6 rounds of carbo/taxol and maintenance via olaparib. I had a CT scan back in August which highlighted a mass on the wall of my stomach.

Stage 4
I was diagnosed in March 2022, I’ve had 6 rounds of chemo and
debulking
surgery
. Like many I was told it will come back 🤦‍♀️. So I decided to radically change my life (I didn’t have a healthy lifestyle prior to my diagnosis). There’s lots we can do to put the odds back in our favour.

Small hernia
I have Stage 3 low grade ovarian cancer and had
debulking
surgery
18 months ago. I got over the surgery very quickly and have been very lucky with no recurrence so far. Yesterday I saw my Oncologist who said she had found a small hernia but I should carry on as normal but avoid heavy lifting.

Newly diagnosed seeking advice on surgical options
Hi, Recently diagnosed with S3 Ovarian Cancer and have been given a choice of primary
debulking
surgery
followed by 6 rounds of chemo or interval
debulking
with the
surgery
in the middle of 6 rounds. Worried that PDS is more risky/ radical although I’ve been told that it wouldn’t be.

Mastectomies
She has had 4 doses of chemo,
debulking
surgery
(which went well) and two further doses of chemo. She has had three oncologists dealing with her case thus far and they were of the opinion that she should have a double mastectomy in view of her BRCA status.

Dealing with NED in this stage 4 appendix cancer journey
I’ve been NED since HIPEC in May 2022 having previously had
debulking
surgery
followed by Folfiri and immunotherapy. I understand there’s a strong prospect I will have a recurrence so I am being monitored by CT-PET scans.
