cross training - Zwift cycling
I’ve come to the conclusion that I badly need some cross training in my FM prep. Never been a keen cyclist, however wondering if it’s worthwhile getting an indoor bike (thinking used Wattbike) and using zwift or one of the other virtual apps. Anyone got any thoughts or suggestions? It’s all a

Can you do too much exercise?
Consequently I embarked on my own trial on my recliner static bike spending 30 minutes
cycling
four or five times a week. In contrast to the trial I found that after
cycling
this length of time I am so wobbly and unbalanced for a good few hours after!

At First they wanted to put me on beta blockers - but I thought these would affect my
cycling
- they booked me in for a stress test - in which I got to 105% of HRMAX - with no issues.

With duff knees
cycling
is good option for me and I found this video very helpful with my iPad balanced precariously over the handlebars (no expensive hi tech bike here…..just a 20 year old past sell by date bought for my son after injury).

Diet and cycling - hyperthyroidism and prediabetes
My weight is going down and I would welcome any advice on diet and
cycling
pending test results. Apologies, early days I know but hard to know what is best to eat and how much I should try and cycle as normal!

side effects of hydroxycarbamide
I am soon to start this drug, does it impact on physical activity; I do a lot of
cycling
and swimming at the moment. Also, has anyone experienced problems with immunity?

Severe Proximal RCA Disease and Moderate LAD Disease - Updated
The discussion then turned to my
cycling
activities, his concern is I am at risk of a heart attack and If I had one while
cycling
on my own in the middle of nowhere my chances of surviving are low. It's better if I sit at home where access to relatives and medical intervention closer to hand.

Moods
Finding it interesting that I m managing to continue with my indoor
cycling
goals despite health issues and that my mood has been more optimistic even with minimal weight loss.

Starter for Active 10
hi folks, I used to be pretty fit-
cycling
, walking etc but have just had an extended period of ‘languishing’, pre starting a new role… long story short, I’ve pretty much been sedentary for the last three months, and having turned 60, feel the need to ‘get going’ again😜🕺🤞- monitoring my brisk walking

Comfortable bike saddle?
I have just gone back to
cycling
using an E-bike. It has taken me over a year to get the bike set up right for me. An ongoing problem is pain in the base of my spine. I’m upright on the saddle and it must be pressure.

I’m new to Active 10 and really enjoying it.
I’m quite fit as I love kayaking and some
cycling
but get left behind when I’m walking with my family. The Active 10 app has given me the motivation to walk a lot more and I’ve now found this wonderful community; what I’ve read so far about people’s achievements is awesome and inspiring!

Never give up
I've just watched an interview with a great iconic British cyclist Sean Yates. He's in permanent AF and in his 60s and next year doing a 300km gravel
cycling
event. What a top guy. Just shows never give up and let AF win.

Angina after bypass?
However, I noticed some mild chest pain on the left side when out
cycling
particularly since the weather has turned a bit colder. Today I noticed a mild pain following a 20 minute walk. It stopped when I got home.

Noticed 10 years ago when walking up a flight of stairs my thighs would feel heavy also when
cycling
up hill had to get off as power in thighs seemed to drain really quick. muscles always feel tender and tight , even when doing nothing.
