My EP suggested to go ahead with
cryoablation
if another medication (Tykosin )would not eliminate my AF. This would be my first ablation. Did anybody have a
cryoablation
?

Trying to stay calm!
I had a
cryoablation
on the 20th September and everything has been fine. The longest I have been free from A.F. in five years. However on and off yesterday and today I have been getting missed beats and I am dreading the fact that I will slip back into A.F.

Ablation
I had a
cryoablation
2 weeks ago, feeling really well now and have noticed not as tired but take my beta blocker at night now so maybe that helps. So far no AF but lots of fluttering and palpitations how long do you think this will last? It doesn't bother me.

Ablation
They did a
cryoablation
which I did know I was having until the day as EP said he thought it would be better for my type of AF. Has anyone had this? I am at home now and don't know why I worried so much.

There can be a cure for AF!
Somewhat reluctantly, I underwent pulmonary vein isolation by way of
cryoablation
, and it seems to have worked. To say that I am delighted is an understatement.

Cryoablation
I do not understand if they have to be able to see the AF to be able to treat it, during the
cryoablation
proceedure. I want to have the ablation after waiting so long, as a cardioversion is unlikely to be permanent.

Cryoablation or RF Catheter Ablation
I already know they'll be using 3D imaging, but I'm told they don't do
cryoablation
. What's the difference between
cryoablation
and the more traditional method of ablating? Does
Cryoablation
give a higher success rate? Are there more pros and cons for one method to the other?

Cryoablation Nottingham
Hello, Not posted before, but just thought I'd relay my experiences following an ablation last Thursday (one week ago) at Nottingham City Hospital in case anyone is considering the procedure. Early days yet, but feeling very good with no AF syptoms. So far just the odd flip and blip, but nothing alarming

Ablation - My Experience
(Fingers crossed its.stopped it), I was scheduled for a
cryoablation
after if svt ablation did not work. I saw Dr Rajappan the day after and he said there was a 90% chance its sorted it...but time will tell.

2 weeks down and looking good
Two weeks post
cryoablation
and all seems to be going to plan. In the two years prior to developing AF my heart rate dropped from a resting pulse of around 65 to the low 50s and low 40s when sleeping. Now its back up 65-70 which is pretty much where it was when I was in my 30s.
