Oups I did it again
So here we go again, I have walked out of my oncologist appointment feeling utterly frustrated ... A year on and I have still not sussed how to maximise that 5/10mn four weekly golden encounter... Everytime I rehearse in my head what I want out of it , the questions I have , the tone I want to use ,

Post transplant support group
I've recently been left a little money in a legacy and have decided to set up a pre and post transplant support group. The group will be based in London, probably SW London, and will meet once evening a week. My vision is for a safe meeting space for individuals that word line contact, face to face,

Not sure I have depression
Hi everyone, I just joined. I have had chronic sinusitis, but when I explain my symptoms to doctors, they look me sideways finally, a doctor said you have mood issues and referred my for counseling. I didn't believe him because my symptoms we're physical. No sadness. Since then a few other doctors have

Doing well but....
Have posted before. On 4mg Pred for PMR. Went off for 2 weeks but symptoms were returning. So went back on low dose. No pains now. According to one reply, they thought might be Pred. Withdrawal. Is there such a thing? I know - I’m not as knowledgeable as I could be. I just don’t have patience to study

Recently diagnosed AN
Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with a relatively small (3mm) AN. Only notable symptom to date is pulsative tinnitus (mainly in the evenings), occasionally feel unsteady on my feet (suffered from Labyrinthitis a few months ago, so wonder if more a psychological issue) & audiology test shows irregularity

I am new here.
Hi Everyone, I've had anxiety, depression, and panic attacks for over 30 years. I have been terrified of death all my life and now that I am approaching 70 years old find that terror increasing. Last time I was in counseling I was advised that I had all the symptoms of PTSD. As I get older I keep

Doing better.
Hello all! I hope you’re all well and having a good day! Been on Setraline for just over 2 weeks now. They seem to be helping. I’m more motivated already and want to keep busy. My intrusive thoughts have gotten a little better, they aren’t coming on as strong as they were but I’m still going to make

Pre conception counselling
So mid August I am having some preconception counselling with regards to possibly having baby number 2. Is there anything people think I should ask specifically?

New Me
A couple years ago I posted that I was suffering from very strong thoughts of killing myself. Since then my progress in finding a new me and life has been solely based on the fact that I’m worthy of life. No matter how cold and dark it may seem there’s always a silver lining and beyond that you will

Good morning ladies, I am hoping someone will have some sage advice for me. I was diagnosed in October 2017 following what turned out to be a huge debulking operation for suspected bowel cancer. The primary site was probably the Fallopian tube- the following PET scan revealed that it was stage 4 as the

Parkinson Therapy Center in Italy
I highly recommend the Parkinson Therapy Center located in Northern Italy, in the spa town of Boario Terme, in a scenic valley of the lake region, at the foot of the Alps. Classes were small, 3 to 4 patients plus spouses in attendance, conducted in English, animated by a positive and friendly staff

6 months Post IL op depression
My husband had IL in jan 2019. He now eats well, little and often, dumping/nausea rare now, has put a little weight on too. Had a good holiday in Tenerife and seemed to be doing well. BUT...... he is now feeling depressed and although having some telephone counselling and taking an anti-depressant

Feels like a soap opera that’s about to be cancelled
Good morning friends...what a week this has been. Going for brain scans and waiting for results, finding out my brother has been hospitalized in a neighboring state for extreme alcohol poisoning/seizures and now alcohol withdrawal; and trying to not over discuss this infidelity thing with my husband

Thinking of you
So very sorry about your devastating loss. My husband was very lucky to survive 2 heart operations. Like your husband, he appeared to be in good health at the age of 51 years, when he suddenly developed atrial fibrillation, caused by mitral valve disease. Within a year, he had developed severe heart

Concerning cold sores
This is my first post. I’d introduce myself, but I’m exhausted from OCD tonight. Bottom line: I have a cold sore. For most people, no biggie. For me? Catastrophic. I feel as if I can’t do ANYTHING without surgical gloves and endless rounds of overzealous hand-washing rituals that consume so much time

Doubting myself.
Recently I’ve been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea - a condition where I’d just stop breathing during my sleep. I also possibly suffer from narcolepsy and hormonal imbalances. The results is that I’m constantly sleep deprived, and I feel exhausted pretty much during all of my waking hours. In the past
