calprotectin levels of over 2000 and positive FIT test!
Hello, my problems started since I’ve got over covid (which knocked me sideways for over two weeks) I suffered from what I believe was anal fissures which my GP treated me with
cosmocol
sachets and gel. Following on from that I started to get urgent bowel movements, diarrhoea, tummy cramps.

Nearly four year old holding poo
A couple of months ago we had a review phonecall with the GP for her
cosmocol
, and again I was told that this is a common problem, but just try to encourage her to use the toilet for pooping and carry on with the
cosmocol
at 1/2 a sachet per day to maintain the softness of her poos.

Almost 5 year old still pooping his pants...
I spoke to my Doctor about the poop incidents and he prescribed some
Cosmocol
at a maintenance dose which did help for a short time. He was poop incident free at school for well over a week & I thought we had it cracked...fast forward to now and today alone we've had 5 or 6 incidents in his pants!

What's the difference between
cosmocol
half and
cosmocol
paediatric? And which one should a 5 year old be prescribed?

Need a gentle poo softener.
I was OK for a number of years with
cosmocol
but now it seems to really upset my bowels with explosions. My question is what is there that is a mild laxative. I sometimes have a few prunes in syrup on my breakfast and that is hit and miss. Thanks.

4 year old struggling with constipation,
First post My step daughter is 4 and has always struggled to poo, she was put on
cosmocol
sachets about 2 years ago. Followed the advice and she has only ever had 4 solid poos in that time. It's always liquid, so as you can imagine a nightmare trying to potty train.

How to get the dose right
Gp started her on
CosmoCol
half which we did well with up until she turned 5 in April. This time I can't get her dose of
CosmoCol
half right. She has seen a pediatric gastro consultant in May as I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else causing a problem.

Looking for a more gentle poo softner
I have been using
cosmocol
for a number of years, it now has quite a severe effect on me and I have to stay close to home or a toilet. I`m waiting for an inguinal hernia to be fixed and need to keep things soft and moving without turning everything to water and feeling ill.

Cosmocol
a few years ago before the hernia got bad but it has gotten to the point where it needs fixing. If I don`t take the
cosmocol
I have problems, if I take it I am running to the loo a lot and passing lots of coloured water.
