Has any -one been treated for arthritis of the sacral-iliac joint?. Ann
I believe surgery is impossible but a
cortisone
injection is a possibility. So far the pain has been intermittent but now it is there every time I walk.I have recently been prescribed bisopropol. Could this be making the inflammation worse?

I got treated for red swollen fingers whilst on holiday in Tenerife and I need to find out what treatment it was that they gave me.
First off they had no clue about the cause but said that they wanted to give me a
cortisone
injection. I was fine about that but then the nurse wanted to put a cannula into my arm which I thought was odd cecause
cortisone
is usually adminstered by deep IM.

Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia
I am concerned that it may be somewhat of a health risk injecting
cortisone
into your scalp and then finding out down the road that it actually did contribute to some health problem.

Horrendous Blood Test Results
Hi Everyone, I've just collected my results:- FT3 12.3 (3.5-6.5) FT4 31.5 (11-23) TSH 0.05 Obviously the lab has said I'm over replaced! I am taking Cimetidine 200mcg 3 times a day, that affects absorbtion of Levothyroxine. (On the patient leaflet) I have low cortisol

Help with Armour and high bp please
Have managed to get myself up to 1.5 grains of armour, no levo, feeling ok, just a bit undermedicated. Cortisol results show low cortisol throughout the day and high DHEA, the results came back with a comment stating there is a recent study showing low cortisol and high DHEA can be a marker for PTSD

Adrenal insufficiency question for everyone who may have it....
Next week am having major surgery and the fact that I take
cortisone
for my adrenal insufficiency has become a major issue with the hospital, egads, let alone how they are treating me for my APS.

Can anyone give advice, my patch of dry skin down on my lower right side of my ankle is starting to weep?
I have a dermatologist appt. next week and than I am sure she will prescribe me the
cortisone
cream again witch usually help. If I remember right, the problem is how to keep the weeping patch from sticking to the wound.

Help with results please!
After years of GP 'treating' me according to TSH results alone, going up and down levo doses from 0 to 175mg but never feeling better (terrible fatigue, 2 stone weight gain, joint/muscle pain, hair loss, swollen ankles, dry skin, depression, brain fog etc) years after a previous GP tested me positive

Need to Vent!
I am so incredibly exhausted right now and my pain is spiralling out of control :( I had my Remicade Infusion today and literally took everything that was left inside me (which wasn't much)-- after a long crash all evening in my bed, I have woken up to feel even worse and now I feel ulcers deep inside

Does PMR come back again?
After a few hiccoughs I have managed to get my
cortisone
down to 2mg. I'm hoping that my PMR may be on the way out and I may be able to get off the
cortisone
completely. Is it possible to be completely 'cured' of PMR or are relapses possible?
