Thought Iād follow up post endocrinology appointment. New blood tests came back FT4 11.5 (range 11-22) TSH > 0.01 So whilst my FT4 is making great strides in reduction and the 20mg carbimazole is working, TSH still needs to wake up. All hyperthyroid symptoms have gone. Feel the least anxious I

Si Joint/back pain
Hi I have a history of back pain and endometriosis. I recently turned 50 and leading up to my period my si joint pain has suddenly got worse and it all goes into spasms and I literally can't do a lot. It's not great the rest of the month either. I had linked it to the menopause or back issues but

Still having symptoms of hypothyroidism despite medication - any advice?
I wondered if anyone could please share their thoughts on my situation. I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism around 8 years ago, but didnāt have any symptoms (apart from some fatigue). Then, after contracting COVID in 2020, I began to have symptoms like 30-35lb weight gain (unexplained),

Success with GP - for now
Just had an appointment with my GP and after lots of persuasion and me quoting NICE guidelines at him, he's agreed to reinstate my previous daily 100mcg Levo. š„³This does come with the condition of reassessing in 6-8 weeks after bloods done. (I'll cross that bridge when I get there) I got the usual

Normal TSH, but High FT4?
Hi everyone, Despite two endocrinologists confirming my thyroid is 'normal', I'm experiencing symptoms of an overactive thyroid like sweating, anxiety, and weight issues. My recent blood tests show a TSH of 1.58 mIU/L (optimal) but an FT4 of 24.4 pmol/L, which the lab deems high. I've heard that reference

Update after GP call
Had my call with the GP that I mentioned in my last posts. That was a bit of a disaster, although not as bad as it could have been. She did not read my notes or blood test results before the call. She asked me about symptoms, but was only concerned about weight gain and dry skin. I had already gone

Hello all I have posted before and nothing has changed much. additional test results
Hi, After my initial blood tests (listed in my previous post) 2 weeks ago showed hypothyroidism and iron deficient anemia my gp ordered some additional tests to establish the cause. These were taken at 8:45am in the morning fasted. Please could you help me interpret what they mean? If they are ānormal

advice, thoughts please, feeling rather desperate?!
hi I only got one response to my recent post which was so kind but no feedback so am trying again as Iām a bit stumped. Iād hoped going on NDT would relieve fibro symptoms and generally help me feel better, and give me more energy, but despite latest test results I donāt feel that much different. Certainly
