Good morning to you lovely people on this beautiful sunny Saturday morning. Has anyone else had their employer ask for a letter from you GP or consultant to prove you are still in the clinically extremely vulnerable group. We received an email from HR this week stating their new policy regarding covid

Spring Covid Booster
Hi everyone, it’s a while since I posted (I’ve been recovering from a bad fall in March) but I read the posts everyday. I have a question re the latest Covid booster in the UK. I saw my Gp a few days ago on another matter and mentioned the Covid booster as I was refused during the first round. In

Flu season here!
Hello folks, I'm interested to know if long term ME sufferers end up with a totally weird immunity. I'm in my early 70's, developed ME following viral pneumonia in my 30's, then over a decade later discovered I also had Hashimoto's thyroiditis (am on thyroxine).I've managed to dodge Covid even though

Introduction
Was a healthy 68 year old until I contracted COVID-19 in May 2022. Approximately, two weeks after getting over the covid, severe muscle aches and pains occurred. Spent a week in pain until doctor diagnosed PMR and put me on Prednisone. For the past year my pain is tolerable but not gone. Five months

possible heart strain
I had Covid in February 2023. 3 weeks later I started getting breathless. I managed my normal activities but eventually I found I struggled with my daily 2/3 walks and walking up the stairs at home. Tested my oxygen levels with our oxymeter, which came out at 89, 90, 93. This happened over a weekend

CLL and Covid !
My father recently got covid and had to be hospitalised for the same. He got covid related pneumonia and had to be on oxygen support (nasal cannula) for the first two days of his hospital stay. He also had elevated d dimer and CRP values. Doctors at the centre put him on a 5 day course of remdesvir

Anxiety hurting relationship
I’ve been suffering from anxiety and depression for the last 4 or 5 years. It started with work pressure and my late mothers dementia, but it got 1000 times worse with Covid to the point I took early retirement. I tried CBT and counselling but neither really helped. It’s now affecting my relationship

Due to that awful Covid pandemic 😷 I had kind of lost my mojo for running as there was nothing to train for. My running went from 4 days per week to one or two days per week. My fitness dropped and I gained weight, a Covid stone plus another for good measure. I was finding it hard to get back into

Covid
Well at last I got the dreaded Covid!! First signs were cough and awful taste in my mouth. Also my tinnitus was off the scale. I thought it was a bad flare! But this is different. Getting anti-virals tomorrow. I suppose it was bound to happen....
