EP consult
The cardiologist I see is not able to provide medical management of my paroxysmal afib due to my low heart rate and low blood pressure (can't risk pushing either value lower), so I am hoping for an ablation. This morning, due to a cancellation, I was able to bring my initial EP consult forward by 1

Is it common to get laryngitis with aps?
I have what seems like laryngitis for 4 weeks now. I'm struggling to talk for long. I'm seeing my ENT doctor Thursday for my ears and hope he will help with my throat (probably won't because it's ear clinic). Just wanted to say I haven't had any sort of virus before this I'm just wondering if aps can

clotting whilst on warfarin for clots in lungs.
I’ve been trying to find out why I’ve had breathlessness for 3 years. In 2021 NHS pulmonary consultant arranged Ct scan abd lung function tests. Lung function tests results said good. Ct scan revealed very mild dry bronchiectasis and very mild emphysema - both too mild to be classed as COPD. Was discharged

home from cardioversion
so I had my 2nd cardioversion today, first one lasted over 2 years……so hopefully this one will last a fair while too. Only took one zap and I was back in sinus rhythm. This time I’ve been told to continue my bisoprolol but last time I wasn’t on them at all. Hopefully this wil keep me in sync until I

Hello all, About 18 months ago I had a stent fitted - didn’t have a heart attack - but every so often I have chest discomfort, like now. I vape quite a lot (ex-smoker). I’m pretty sure that my current bout of discomfort isn’t heart related but my mind is going bonkers and now I don’t know whether I

Tumor Lysis Syndrome
As a result of developing tumor lysis syndrome 2021 while in the hospital (receiving Ven,) my kidneys were affected. This week I will have a kidney stent removed and possibly replaced. Has anyone had a similar experience? The kidney stents will be done in a hospital.

GCA diagnostic dilemma
Thank you everyone who has helped so far. Last night I had a message from Rheumy saying I should go to the hospital for an emergency biopsy, with the headache and unusual severe temporal pain being the driver. He said that U/S was so ‘operator sensitive’ as to be unreliable in this ‘locality’. The

Spontaneous Subdural Hematoma
I am 58 years old. A few months I started to develop headaches and neck pain that gradually increased in severity. I eventually went to the ER and was diagnosed with a minor subdural hematoma (SDH) based upon a CT Scan and was sent home for follow-up with a neurosurgeon. I have had no recent head
