Ladies problems (comes with a warning of fairly graphic detail lol)
Hi all, Had my angiogram and stent fitted in my LAD (was 90% blocked) and started on daily aspirin, statin as well as an anti-platelet drug for twelve months. Isosobride mononitrate
Had cabg x 3 2 years ago. 1 yr later discovered a problem with a 4th artery. Too narrow to stent. Given Ranexa to control angina type episode. Worked for about a year although Iāve been having hearing problems so when I had another episode didnāt want to increase it so meds changed to the isosobride

4 weeks post cabg and back in hospital.
Hi everyone it's been 4 weeks since my double bypass. I've been having breathing issues and yesterday Dr's asked me to go to hospital as fluid on my left lung. Dr's have just done ward rounds and my left lung is full of fluid. I could either have a needle put in but it would only drain 1 1/2 litres so

Is 5:2 diet suitable for me?
Hello guys, Had a heart attack and triple CABG 8 months ago. Is a 5:2 diet / lifestyle suitable for me right now or ever? 5:2 being, for 2 days of the week cut calorie intake to 600 (500 for women). Is there a minimum intake I need to maintain every day for optimum heart health? Thanks

Shortness of breath on Ramipril
Hi Has anyone suffered from shortness of breath from Ramipril? I have been taking them since my HA in Oct 2020 and stent fitting. However, I thought my shortness ofbreath was due to my heart failure, but I actually saw a cardiologist this week for a follow up who gave me eneplenone (sorry about the spelling

Raised Bilirubin level
Dear Hearties, I had a heart attack 3 years ago. I was fitted with a stent and I am taking a cocktail of medicines after that. They are Atrostatin 80mg, Losartan and Bisoprolol. I have been told by GP that my bilirubin is high. Is this could side effect of the above drugs? I also use Paracetamol 2 tablets

Trying to cope after HA
Hi all - new here Had a HA last week (at a young age of 37!) here with 2 stents and a balloon angioplasty on my LAD. Apparently due to my age and lack of apparent risk factors, ,my case was pretty unusual and discussed within the cardio team. Having never been in hospital as an adult (nor even blue-lighted

Update
HI my friends! I have now seen my MPN specialist twice. I was back to see him in Nashville on November 29. My diagnosis has changed from ET to PV which is what I kept thinking (since April)! My HCT was at 47.5, so I had my first phlebotomy of 500MLs. Yahoo! I had been begging my previous Dr to do this

metal vs plastic ureteral stents
I just had removal of bilateral stent placed in Sept.2021-- the urologist mentioned the possibility of stent failure requiring nephrostomies-- he said he didn't have experience with metal ureteral stents which I inquired about thinking they would withstand the cancer should the tumor grow--- I have

Scared again
I was diagnosed with CHD in 2017 and had one stent put in LAD. I had been experiencing very mild exertion chest pain. Since then I have had not pain, that is until very recently. On walking uphill, I get very mild pain which I have only just had the courage to confirm as angina by using my GTN, which

Any substitutes for h. r. t, since I have a stent???
I'm Bieng told it's a year's wait for an appointment with a gynecologist, which is needed for a refferal to prescribe an h. R. T. Alternative? Has anyone, does anyone know a safe alternative to hrt as my flushes are frequent and unbearable?
