Pins and needles after angioplasty
Hi. My partner had angioplasty on Tuesday. It failed in his right arm due to the artery collapsing within a few inches. He is still having pins and needles, sensitivity and occasional weakness in his hand/fingers. They went in on left side and my partner says this arms fine. No stent was required

Post Stent: Fatigue aches and insomnia
Hi, I had a stent fitted a month ago after collapsing during a stress test in hospital. After the stent was fitted I was sent home with a leaflet and my medication. The nurses were superb, however, I wasn't really 'with it' when discharged so didn't ask many questions. For the first week I felt much

Will my dad be okay?
Hi all - I’m writing because I’m really worried about my dad (62 yrs). He’s been having some pain between his shoulder blades while exercising for a few months now. He went in to see his cardiologist last week, and came back with a calcium score of 2200 and an appointment for an angioplasty + at least

1st anniversary
Well one year today since my triple bypass surgery. What can I say ? A few ups and downs but mainly up and feeling good. The NHS is indeed our national treasure. With all that’s going on with the current pandemic my local Healthcentre has been incredible. Had a phone consultation followed be a full check

Artrostatin side effects
Hi my physio at rehab suggested I took nystatin 40 mg in the morning as I was having trouble sleeping and my ramipril 2.5 at night. I also take Bisoprolol [ 25 at night and 76mg aspirin in the morning. Ceased Ticagrelor a month ago after one year. I had angina and a stent. The statin makes me feel spaced

Afib in the evening
Hi All, I’m new here and don’t know much about Afib but could do with some help. I had a heart attack in March this year and 1 stent fitted which has been fine. A few twinges here and there but all in all I am now healthier than I have been for years. I eat well, exercise daily and am at my perfect BMI

Stent Fitted LAD Blocked + Atrial Flutter Diagnosed
Hi all - this is a copy of a post I put onto the BHF site a few days ago but haven't received a response so far. The emphasis so far is very much about the HA/Stent recovery and not much about the Atrial Flutter side of things although some of the meds I am taking particularly Bisoprolol/Apixaban are

An awful lot going on!
Hello everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice from anyone who has had similar experiences to my own with regards to my many health issues. Some background as follows.. I have inherited Cardiomyopathy which was controlled well by drugs for the last 15 or so years. Back in 2018 my condition had worsened

Lad Block - 1 stent fitted with Atrial Flutter also diagnosed
Hi folks I am a newbie here. As you can see from the title I have recently had a procedure (23 Oct) and am at home recovering. Have to say the cocktail of meds (7) is making me very tired and together with bouts of anxiety - which I have a history of - is not helping at all. I am awaiting to start cardio

Clopidogrel experience
I thought I would share. Had a heart attack back in April and stent fitted, was placed on a cocktail of drugs as most are. I reacted really badly after two weeks and stopped them all bar the clopidogrel and aspirin. I was told not to but I've done my own research and was comfortable in my decisions.

Pale hands and face
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone might be experiencing the same thing. Sometimes during the day, my face and hands turn very pale and this is usually followed by a smell/taste that I can only discribe as being like iron. My hands also turn pale when I have them raised above my heart. I've had 1
