Covid - Beware Getting Treatment - Don’t Test Positive on a Friday - Some Answers
Well I said I would update you all regarding the ordeal I had had regarding my previous posts on this subject. Don’t want to bore you all but some may be interested in what I have managed to find out. I laid out to the NHS what I needed answers to and what they were doing about it to prevent it happening

Taking Flecainide with Bisoprolol
When I was first diagnosed with AF a few years ago I was told to use the "pill in the pocket" approach to terminate an episode by using bisoprolol and flecainide - the flecainide 20 minutes after the bisoprolol. Now, for the last year I've been on bisoprolol 1.25mg daily and just take the occasional

How effective is fenofibrate for itch?
My doctor suggested a few different drugs, like rifampricin, naltrexone, and fenofibrate for my itch. He prescribed fenofibrate as he thinks it works best. Does anyone here take it and if so, has it helped? I'm worried about the warnings it comes with about severe liver damage.

update on knee pain
As most of you will probably know, I injured my knee on holiday at the end of June, when my knee would buckle. Over the months Drs have always been more concerned that my back or pelvis was injured with a fall in the shower, due to the knee buckling. I had CT scans and MRIof the spine and pelvis, but

PMR & COVID Vaccine Link?
In another thread which I began on a different subject, the possibility of a link between PMR and COVID vaccine came up. In that thread, for the first time I saw something other than idle speculation that the vaccine and PMR might be l inked: A study published[u] in the journal Rheumatology

due for a blood test later today, which I would normally have before my Rheumy visit (scheduled for next week) Come down with a blooming cold, started a few days ago - I’ve been reasonably lucky to have by passed most doing the rounds of our office 😬 - just done a COVID test to make sure and it’s come

dengue fever vaccinate or not?
I started off on 15mg Pred in October and am now down to 10mg. I am off to India (Rajasthan) in February and dengue fever vaccine has been suggested. As it is a live vaccine I am not sure whether having the vaccine is worth the risk of contracting dengue. Any advice? Also big thanks to the community

My GCA Update
I just got done with my MRIs and MRAs, so we’ll see if results show much. My blood test came back with sed rate normal (always has been) and C-reactive prrotein headed down. It went from normal in PMR, to 1.3 and then 2.0 in GCA. Now at 0.8, so barely high and heading in the right direction. Still feeling

Any success stories with a 5 day compacting embryo not reached blastocyst stage?
Hello, wondering if anyone has had (or heard of) success with an embryo transfer of a day 5 embryo which is still at the compacting stage and hasn’t reached blastocyst? This is our last shot for a sibling (have a 3 year old daughter from our 4th ICSI attempt). At day 3 we had one developing normally

Wildely different AMH test scores - any thoughts why?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has received wildly different AMH scores and worked out what was driving it and therefore which one to believe? Back in January I stared investigations with a private clinic and was tested in their London lab. My AMH test came back as 6.2 pmol/l. I was told this
