contraceptives after lap
I had a laparoscopy around eight weeks ago. The surgeons removed stage 4 endo from various organs including the bowel and got rid of some large ovarian cysts as well. They said after the surgery that they ‘got it all’. They’ve recommended I have a coil or go on the pill after surgery to stop the endo

Advice
My sister suffered a miscarriage in 2020 and since then most days she bleeds and loses clots easy size of my little finger. She has had internals, biopsies you name it and it’s been done. She was also told her womb lining was above average 16mm. Anyway long story short she was diagnosed with PCOS and

Surgery follow-up appointment
Hi all I had my surgery on the 30th of March, where they found four bits of endo. I did have stomach pains in my first month, but then I had an infection. From the second month after my surgery, I had stomach pains again, although it was at a lower intensity and frequency. Over the last couple of

Endo Diagnosis
Hi, I am unsure where to start off trying to get a diagnosis of endometriosis. I've been struggling for about 4 years now and have found out my gran and my mum both have endometriosis with them experiencing the same symptoms. All my symptoms line up with others that have endometriosis as well. My first

new diagnosis
Hey! I have recently had a new endo diagnosis and have so many questions about next steps! It may not be anything anyone can advise on but thought I’d try anyway. I had a transvaginal scan a few months ago and they have said the results are likely in keeping with deep infiltrating endometriosis

Hi all, Could I get some advise please. I have been suffering from endometriosis. I had a recent MRI and ultrasound done few weeks back and they found deep infiltrating endometriosis in some areas, around perineum to be exact and a very tiny cyst on my left ovary. I had a 2nd laparoscopy a year ago and

ovarian cysts
hi all, I think the reason for me being in agony pretty much every day is I think I keep having ovarian cysts every month even thought I’m on the pill and the coil … I know most people have no symptoms from this but I’m always in so much pain. Is anyone else dealing with this? If so what is the plan

Prostap
Hi, I was put onto Zoladex a few years ago whilst I waited for my second Lap, I found it worked to manage the pain and to stop the symptoms of Endo. I was recently put onto Prostap whilst I wait for tests on my bowel. I’d been on the pill and this was slowly helping with my periods. But ultimately

GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER, BACK PAIN AND HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
The title looks a lot, but it's all related. I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure and taking Perindopril 4 mg. About 2 weeks ago. NP has asked me to monitor BP at home. On Tuesday past, BP was 166/106, rhr was 97 (which is not bad for me). I had stopped the med because it was causing stomach

Mirena coil and mood
Hi there,I've searched existing posts and can't find the advice I'm looking for. I wondered if anyone can advise me on the effects on mood of having the mirena coil fitted? I understand the point of it is to reduce bleeding and pain. I'm having laporoscopy in January to remove endometriomas and anything

Feeling hopeless
Hi. First time poster here. I’ve been feeling like I need some additional support from people who understand or can relate to what I’m going through and here seems like a perfect place. Bit of background; I’m 34 F, I’ve had no children and one miscarriage last year. Currently not using any hormonal

Any advice and support for recently diagnosed
Hi all. Appreciate anyone who reads and responds. I recently went to the doctors as my periods started to become less regular and also lighter. I had blood tests which showed my testosterone was slightly high, I was told it was slightly higher than the range they would expect it to be, and from that

Is it all over before I even test?
Hello! I’m looking for some reassurance that my body isn’t completely against me and I’ve ruined our chances of a BFP before we’ve even made it to testing! Long story short, I have suffered from migraines for most of my adult life. They have always been linked to my cycle and they were more frequent

Not coping with pain right now
Had generic painkillers, hot shower while covering on the floor, writing this post in a brief few minutes of moderate pain before the severe pain inevitably comes crashing back. No comfy position. Sweating, feel faint. Pain indescribable. I can’t be on the pill. Prescribed painkillers don’t scratch

Flecainide side effects
Hello All I've had AFIB for 10 years and I've always preferred the Pill in the Pocket. Recently I was advised by my Consultant to try 50 mgs of flecainide and 1.25 mgs of Nebivolol twice a day. I'm only into my fifth day and I find I have constant heartburn since day two. Previously the PIP usage

Private Consultation Findings - thoughts on next steps
Hello everyone. I am looking for some advice and experiences on Dienogest / Zalkya. Diagnosed in 2022 via lap by general gynae and never prescribed anything. Own GP has tried me on contraceptives & meds for pain management, which nearly tipped me over the edge. After a scare with my mental health,

Help… too young for lap
Hello all, I’m hoping someone will be able to help as I’m feeling so frustrated and not listened to. Since being around 12/13 I have experienced horrendous periods, debilitating pain, fainting, vomiting, fatigue, bowel issues and a whole host of other symptoms which have never been taken seriously

Miscarriage and missed periods
Hello, About 8/9 years ago I was told I had PCOS, just one ovary, it never massively effected me maybe only with weight gain, and some irregular periods, mostly just a longer cycle of around 35 days. I eventually went on the pill, which regulated my periods, and then coming off them I was still very

Shaving down pills
Hi everyone, my mum who I’ve written about a lot here (80, restless legs along growth a whole host of other issues ) has perked up no end since getting her on electrolytes. I’m delighted as it feels like I’ve got my mum back. Now she’s a little stronger, I feel like we could start to finally cut down

I've always 'suffered' with periods that are heavier or more painful than my peers since the age of 11. Now at 33, they have been noticeable worse for around the last 3/4 years. I've experienced: -Terrible period pains, scaling from typical 'bad' pains to extreme where I'm in excruciating pain (doubled
