Miralax (Polyethylene Glycol 3350) has been the best solution for my chronic constipation for several years now.
Several people on this and other advanced prostate cancer boards have complained about varying degrees of constipation for one reason or another. I have seen several suggestions which I disagree with; partly because I am a pharmacist who has over 30 years on the bench in hospital, community and long

Blood thinners
Hi all For the 2nd year running my bowel test has come back as positive , I had a colonoscopy which was negative last year. Could it be the blood thinner (rivaroxin) causing blood in poo. I am also anaemic

Is this Crohns?
How common is Crohn's without diarrhea (or constipation)? Essentially with perfectly normal bowel movements and no blood? I've been suffering with pain in the lower right quadrant since Nov 2019 Had all the blood/urine/stool samples check out fine with no signs of anything untoward. Was then referred

Can anyone shed some light on this subject?
I have posted numerous pieces on my incontinence issues, and I 'may' have stumbled onto something interesting. I have been dealing with constipation for some time now, and finally decided to see a gastroenterologist at a great hospital here in Thailand. Because of my age, PCa history, and not having

Fed up with pain
I haven’t been officially diagnosed with IBS and have been fine for months and in the last month have had a flare up. (I can only put this down with doing an aspect of my old job with my old boss as a temporary fix in the business, loved the job didn’t like the boss). Left side pain which constantly

Others' experience of Edoxaban and side effect of ongoing bleeding, swollen gums behind front teeth? Treatments? Alternative DOACS? Try?
Change from Warfarin to Edoxaban, then experiencing a bad bleed after bowel polypectomy by colonoscopy.

I know having Colitis is not the best news but it was better outcome than the other C word I was expecting so I’m very pleased. Thank you to the this

Has this happened to anyone ?
I figured I’d post on here to maybe ease my mind . Back in 2020 I start having blood in my stool . They sent me for an emergency colonoscopy and endoscopy. Which both came back negative but I was positive for “microscopic colitis “ and hemorrhoids. Here the bleeding wouldn’t stop it consistently went

Stool test
I have in the past had iron deficiency anemia from having an ulcer. That has now been treated but at my last blood tests, my ferratin level was lower than it should be. My doctor said it was unlikely to be my anaemia back as my iron count was within normal levels. It was my stored iron that was low

Anyone had a surgeon who operates on a 'Frozen Pelvis' for a second time?
Hi everyone, It's a long story, but does anyone have experience of surgery on a Frozen Pelvis for a second time? I had stage 4 endometriosis with severe bowel adhesions 13 years ago (age 36). I had full hysterectomy and both ovaries removed. My bowel had to be dissected due to the adhesions and I was

Recent Colonoscopy
I seem to be writing a lot lately for advice. I would just like some observations from those of you who had this. I have had a few polyps taken and confirmed diverticulitis. Since the procedure on Saturday, my stomach has been uncomfortable and painful at times. I am also suffering constipation.

Dilemma with medication
I have just visited a rheumatologist who has put me back on 5mg of prednisolone, to taper 1 mg every 6 weeks. This is after my doctor tapered me too quickly from 15mg to zero within 7 months. The PMR pain is back and I was reluctant to go back on prednisolone as I have had awful side effects (the GP

Only GGT elevated ?
My Ggt has come down to 100 from 179(had two glasses of red wine night before test, didnt know they were going to do my ggt level) all other blood work within range, except kidney function was a little off. endoscopic ultra sound showed no liver damage, three other ultrasounds, MRI, regular endoscopy

Colonoscopy over
Today I went for my colonoscopy. The staff were fantastic. The sedative did not really work for me. I soldiered on with the prep knowing I did not want to have to come back. I had 4 polyps removed thought to be benign but going to the lab for checking. Also some biopsy’s so have to wait for the
