Doing so well - but cause for concern now.
Late 2011, I was diagnosed with two separate cancers, lung and bowel. On the 12th January 2012, I had a left lung pneumonectomy and on the 3rd February, three weeks later, I had a good part of my bowel removed. In December 2022, I underwent a colonoscopy, as a result of which a polyp was removed in

Left Side Stitch
Hi Everyone! I'm a 48 year old female that had a partial hysterectomy 5 years ago. Recently back in 12/22 I started having a dull pain almost like a side stitch without exercise on my left side. It seems to come on around BMs but on occasion it can come on at different times as well. It can radiate from

Advice if possible
Hi, Apologies in advance for the long story but I have been so worried about this and am hoping there may be someone on here with similar experience who may be able to reassure me. I am a 65 year old female. I rarely drink alcohol, am only 5 lbs into the overweight bracket, do some form of exercise

BMB and ET diagnosis
I'm awaiting results of my BMB, have already had negative blood tests for MPL, Jak2, BCR and Calr. I had a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and a mammo this year. I've had 400+ platelets since 2014 (highest 524 in 11/22). Iron is OK. My Haem said that if an underlying cancer was the cause, it would

Colonoscopy prep - tips!
Hi all, I am due to start the Moviprep this evening, before my colonoscopy in the morning. As it stands none of my worry is for the actual procedure, it’s just for the prep! I’ve heard horror stories about it… and after being super poorly about 3 weeks ago in hospital with sepsis (due to a bowel infection

Tired of all this 'Shit'
So on top of what feels like my five billion health issues - IBS and BAM, I had a test a few months ago and was told I have inflamation of the bowel. Doc wanted a second test to be done. When result comes back, if it's the same as the last, I will have to have another colonoscopy. Good times !

So I had my full body pet scan on Wednesday, it all went ok other than me being traumatised at having the thing in the first place . I was then sent to a&e on Thursday after a sudden onset headache that I sat with for a week & now I'm having a colonoscopy on Tuesday lol why is my life like this ?!? 😅

Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy for CKD patients
In December my stomach had a reaction to antibiotics. Generally, I feel better, but doctors thought it might be a good idea to have screening tests due to my age, 56. My mother died at the age of 57 due to ulcerative colitis becoming cancer, and so that is another reason. Normally my GFR is around

IBS Anxiety
HelloI'm new to this and I can't believe how many people are suffering with IBS or similar. It's astonishing! I'm 65 and have been managing it for 15 years when it started at the age of 50. I've managed it quite well with food, supplements, trial and error, and realized some time ago that symptoms
