Sick of the pain, sick of waiting, sick of it all!
I get married in April and I can't even go dress shopping cuz I don't know when I'll be having surgery or IVF or if I'll have a
colostomy
or even be pregnant. It's just crazy to think there could be so many different outcomes.

Wanting Surgery Desperately
I desperately want an ileostomy to give me my life back after its been ruined this last 8 years by "ibs C+D" but the gastro say's it will just make my life worse and she refuses to consider it an option despite the fact i know other people in the same circumstances who DID get a
colostomy
for the same

Any advice?
He also had to have an operation and the end result was a
colostomy
. This time last year his legs started to swell so he consulted his GP. He was referred to an oncologist and a scan showed the cancer had returned. He subsequently had 6 months of chemo.

Wish me luck for Thursday my lap
I have my lap Thursday, possible
colostomy
bag as a spot is on rectum, spots on blood supply to ovary so possible loss of ovary and fibroids removed possible hyster. What are the chances of these happening as I am terrified I will wake up with all my 'lady bits' gone. X

Pains in the Summer
My son had a vascular problem, which I diagnosed when he was in 10 months but it took 1 year to have a treatment and it infected inside and he ended up having
colostomy
because of the system and the people’s ignorance.

Has anyone been successful with IVF first time with stage 4 Endo?
My consultant says that I need major surgery to basically unstick my bowel which could involve bowel resection and
colostomy
and that I should try for a baby straight away as there is a major chance I could lose my ovaries during the op :( IVF is apparently my only option of getting pregnant but sadly

Lap done, next steps...
I am terrified of something going wrong and ending up with a
colostomy
bag or worse, but hate the thought of this thing growing inside me and not having any control over it.

Do you irrigate?
Irrigation is a somewhat under-promoted method in the UK for managing some types of
colostomy
, where rather than wearing a bag you empty the bowel when you flush it with water. It would be nice to make more people aware of this topic.

Stage 4 and scared....no....make that terrified!!!
At some point I would need major surgery involving gynae, gastro and urology surgeons to remove the endo which could result in a bowel resection and
colostomy
and my only chances for having a baby were through IVF. The only question was what to do first.

Up and down !
A
colostomy
that misbehaves on occasions! when "normal" people have diarrhoea it does not overload their
colostomy
cap and dribble all over the floor without them being aware there is a problem! finding the drips and dealing with them is an added problem! Sorry!
