AF and Cognitive Impairment
I'd like to raise this topic for general discussion as it seems to be one side of Afib that rarely gets mentioned. What are people's experiences and recommendations? A few years ago I used to teach English in a company where they encouraged staff to have "Aha" moments (the insants when you come up

Meds and cognitive impairment.
My husband has now come out of hospital after a catheter infection and Covid. His meds have been altered but I've noticed his cognitive functions have worsened. I don't think the MSA docs mention this as part of the illness so is it due to certain meds and which ones please?

Unhelpful Ketamine and TMS
Brain fog and
cognitive
impairment
. This past summer I did a full course of transcranial magnetic stimulation, something like 36 sessions. No benefit. I am now almost finished with a full treatment cycle of Spravato esketamine. No benefit. Hope is hard to find. No drive. Disordered eating.

Prospect of TAVI or more invasive aortic valve replacement
Controlled hypertension and mild
cognitive

though no one seems concerned except me . I assumed TAVI but cardiologist now wants angiogram before referral to Leeds to check condition of stents which might mean more invasive approach!!

Memory problems and Cognitive decline
The biggest side effect I am noticing at the moment is memory loss and
cognitive
impairment
. I have always been very sharp and had a good memory and brain on me, so it is distressing to experience this. It feels like I have extreme mental fatigue and my brain simply wont work.

FND or effects from severe Tinnitus
However, I found a study on "The characteristics of
cognitive
impairment
in subjective chronic tinnitus". I score severe on the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI). Therefore 'm not 100% convinced about FND unless they are one of the same.

8 months post Nstemi and quadruple CABG
Plus I had
cognitive
impairment
, felt bloody cold and other symptoms. My blood pressure would drop from 115/75 in the morning to 101/61 by early afternoon and I’d be wiped out. 80mg artovastatin was stopped on January for a trial period that went on for a month.

Anyone heard of or tried cGPmax?
The cGP/IGF-1 molar ratio is low in patients with age-related conditions, including hypertension, stroke, and neurological disorders with
cognitive
impairment
. Stroke patients with a higher cGP/IGF-1 molar ratio have more favourable clinical outcomes.
