LDN journey.
Well, after making enquiries here, reading what I could and talking to my GP I had my Dicksons Chemist appointment this morning at a cost of £50. They rang half an hour late and as the conversation went on they said - Oh, if we had known you were on Co-codamol (Zapane) we would not talked to you about

No treatment offered for A F
I rang a friend last night who has had permanent AF for about 6 years. She's now 83 and lives in the Black Mountains in Wales. The only treatment she's ever had is warfarin , bisopralol and something else she couldn't remember the name of. She's never been offered cardioversion, ablation or anything

Into the 2nd phase?
Hello Had PAF for over 11 years...11 days ago I flipped into AF and haven't really been out of it much. Was taking PIP bisoprolol which slowed it down to an ok level...it used to fix it so I'd return to NSR. Not this time. A few calls to the Arrythmia nurses and they call me into their clinic. Sent

Update on my first EP visit & recomendation
Hi guys. Just wanted to give you an update on my first visit to EP. MichaelJH - A Further Update
Hope you are all keeping well. Since I last posted I have had two medical anniversaries. First the metal plate and screws on my left femur had been there for sixteen years, and secondly it was seven years since my first angina attack. To celebrate I had a fall and managed to damage the tendons in my

Has anyone used supplements to compliment medical treatment for PMR? I am considering Evening Primrose Oil alongside steroids.

I think Tramadol has caused my RLS
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'd love some advice, please. I have MS - I was diagnosed in the late 90s. I'm lucky that it hasn't affected me badly (yet), but I do suffer from pretty severe nerve pain. I managed it with Co-Codamol 30/500 for years. I'd been prescribed 8 per day but rarely took more

Cardioversion
Have been on medication for AF for 30 yrs, with occasional paroxysmes. First on Amiodarone which kept me on NSR . As it was too toxic, my cardiologist insisted change on propanolol 2 yrs ago.But AF became permanent . Now my EP insists on cardioversion if not ablation before putting me on flecoidine

Father a fib
My father died after hospitalized with pneumonia in 1955. Death cert says also atrial fib and cerebral emboli. My brother 8 yrs older than me hit with it in his 70s. Has had 2 ablations. Fine last 4 years. I got it at 70 just had my ablation in May. So far so good. I think researchbsays heart genetics

lidocaine infusion didn’t work - I feel so down, what should I do?
I have severe chronic pain, and I’ve tried lots of medicines (nortriptyline, amitryptyline, co-codamol, codeine, tramadol, tapentadol), I’m currently on gabapentin 400mg x 3 times a day. But still in SO much pain. So I went to a private doc who suggested lidocaine infusions. I had my first infusion

Clear liver on ultrasound but GGT and other markers rising.
Late 50s female, and TBH, I've always enjoyed wine. The whole dining experience thing and decompressing from a stressful job, wine has, in the past, helped. However, In the autumn of last year, I developed a pain in my right side. I went to the DR. Bloods revealed a GGT of 148. The GP told me to cut

Bradyarrythmia
I had an ablation almost 4 years ago in feb 2020. Since then I have rarely had any arrhythmias, that is until now. They started out of the blue almost two weeks ago and are constant. However , they are not like before, this time the average beats are 60 per minute. They go as low as 42 and as high as
