I'm posting to find out if anyone else has similar issues to myself. I have cirrhosis, was diagnosed around 9 years ago, have no ascites or varices, but I do have portal vein hypertension and a grossly enlarged spleen. About a year ago I started noticing small veins on my stomach, I think they are called

Fibroscan result waiting time?
Please can somebody tell me how long it takes to receive results for a fibroscan? I started this journey in November 2023 after asking for a general check-up at my GP surgery because of some non-liver related issues. I had no awareness at all that my liver could be damaged. After a few rounds of blood

Living with Disc Issues
Hi all. So i herniated my L4-L5 lumbar disc (and minor abnormalities from L2 to L4) from doing too much weight on an inclined leg press and bad form. I also somehow caused bulging discs in my neck (cervical vertebrae, can't remember which ones) from either years of scrunching my neck during workouts

Stage 4 fibrosis of the Liver
I contracted Hepatitis A in 2020, undiagnosed for 2 months. Six months later I was told I had NALD and last year I was sent for ultrasound scans and blood tests to check for cancer. In March this year, I was told I had Stage 4 Fibrosis of the liver. Does anyone know if this can be reversed, any treatments

Living With Liver Disease
Good morning everyone! I'm speaking at this event on Saturday along with an HCC survivor. She received a liver transplant that saved her life. I would love to see you in person if you live in or near the Nashville area. The event is free and sponsored by the Mid-South Liver Alliance. Hope to see you

Fibroscan results - can someone help please?
I was diagnosed with 'probable cirrhosis' 6 years ago, based on a US and LFTs. I was drinking heavily at the time, so it was a shock rather than a surprise, and I took it at face value. I've been seeing a gastro team ever since, but have never been given a prognosis or any indication of whether the

this might help
i’ve had scabies for the last month and a half, and I have done as much research as possible. Couldn’t find anything that was working for me today I took petroleum jelly, mixed it with tea tree oil, smothered my body in. It sat around in it for five hours, watching the scabies pour out of my body, wiping

Biotin and ESR/CRP Testing
Good evening. I have been taking supplements - AdCalD3 (of course!), Vit K2, VitB complex magnesium glycerine/malate and fish oil - fairly religiously since starting on pred. To help with hair/skin/bone thinning, I have also taken collagen and biotin. I was alarmed to discover tonight that biotin can

Liver tumor
Hi there, I have been diagnosed 2 years ago with a rear benign condition in my peritoneum. Because of this, I have MRIs and CT scans every 4-5 months. In January, my doctors found out a new lesion in my liver. I had a MRI if my liver in March. They come back to me and said that the lesion not changed

Follow up ultrasound for cirrhosis, shown polyp In gallbladder
Hi, looking if anyone has experience/ info on this? is it common, linked to cirrhosis ? It’s completely thrown me as I’ve been feeling healthy since diagnosis last year. This was my first US since. I was hoping for news that my liver looked slightly better than original scan, as I’ve worked my backside

Stopping Injections After 3 Loading Doses
Hi! I’m new here and learning so much from reading all of the posts here. I was diagnosed with low B12 levels earlier on this year, although my PA antibodies came back negative. I was put on injections, and was meant to have 6 over 2 weeks followed by 1 every 3 months, however my GP had to stop them
