Hi, I've been feeling very unwell recently with bad fatigue, headaches, swollen and sore feet. I've had thrush 3 times in the last month too. I've been on NDT (Erfa) for 8 weeks now (starting on 30mg and increased recently to 45mg) along with 25mg Levothyroxine. Before this, I was on 50mg Levothyroxine

Gluten Free / anti-bodies
Hi. For the last 5 months I've been gluten free, as I was trying to reduce my thyroid anti-bodies. In May they were TPO 79, and it's now 70. The TG was 616 and is now 520. To me that's not a lot of difference, and I feel no different. I admit there are more options at the shops these days, but eating

Dr only testing Thyroid peroxidase antibody and T function...?
Asked for Dr to test antibodies with repeat thyroid function (no diagnosis yet all results on my last post but thyroid T4 seems high, then a little low 2 weeks later, and tsh v low then normal) . He agreed, but I've picked up script and it only mentions the thyroid function (t3, T4, tsh as before I think

Final update
Just for those who have read my previous posts, I thought I'd share my final result. It was for TPO antibodies and my result was 28.1 (receptionist said there is no range but from looking on here I gather <34 is normal). So I guess my issues aren't thyroid related and I need to either get over it

Help with results please
I have posted here many times. Need some advice. I have been gluten free for two years and after few months my TPO ab dropped from 1300 (high for many years) to 526. My GP had told me nothing would make them drop. Now my latest results here show that they have gone back up to 1300. I don’t now know whether

Probiotics with ibrutanib
My husband has had to be on the antibiotic Clindamycin for a week following a nasty cut from rusty metal. He has been on ibrutanib for three years. He's suffering really painful stomach cramps and urgency to go to the toilet many times in a day as a result of the antibiotics we feel. Can he use probiotics

Latest blood test results
Dear all, thank you in advance for this. Any insights appreciated. I have been on levo (5omg) for 5 weeks and will be tested after 6 weeks. However, I have been tested regularly for other things and they have thrown in basic thyroid tests each time, plus I contacted old GP from the first half of this

Help diagnosing hyperthyroidism
Hi all, Can anyone advise what tests are needed to diagnose hyperthyroidism please. I assume low TSH and high T3 & T4, but are there any other blood tests? Are TPO &TG antibodies still relevant with hyper? (Asking for my sister who I suspect has hyper. Have advised her to order a test via Medichecks

Overmedicated on NDT and puzzled
Oh dear... I am so puzzled and almost don't dare to share it here... But need some insight... So... I started back in March with 25 levo ( TSH was 3.65, low T4 and T3), then upped to 50, all went up a bit, but still low ( see my earlier posts) then on advice of this forum went for 75 levo, but developed

Pergolide
I was taking pergolide for Restless Legs for about 15 years plus and it was effective. It was a joy after the misery of years of RLS. However, six years ago the GP and neurologist both decide to stop prescribing the drug as recent research revealed in certain cases it might affect the heart valves

Overmedicated?
Just got my latest test results back. I've been feeling off (not that I've ever been well since my diagnosis) but worse than usual. I have a burning tongue, body aches and worsening nerve tingles and burning in my hands and even groin area too (that's new). I've had a increased appetite and looser stools

Starting dose for a child
Hello, I posted a few days ago regarding my 9 year old daughter. She has been prescribed 50mcg of Levothyroxine from a paediatrician. There is no follow up booked with the doctor currently but repeat blood test in 4-6 weeks. My question is: is 50mcg a lot to be starting on? The instructions clearly

As some of you may remember I've previously posted on regards to hair loss, tiredness, loss of libido etc. I have no medical issues and no thyroid issues but chose to post on here as have a family history of hypothyroidism. I had my endocrinologist appointment last week (I feel very lucky to have had

Latest Medichecks Results - low FT3 - Dr will refer me to NHS Endo, should I try? Do I need to up my Levo in the meantime?
Just got my latest Medichecks results below with previous underneath. Spoke to my Dr today who agreed to refer me to an Endo - I know the Endo has prescribed T3 on the NHS as I have chatted to the lady he prescribed it to although she had her thyroid removed so I might not be considered bad enough, but
