tsh keeps going up
hello my tsh is now at its highest 5.19 and keeps increasing. I wanted to know if thyroid cancer causes this and if there’s anything you can do to help bring it down without medication? my t4/t3 12.5/4 are on the low side, but my thyroid antibodies TPO have at least come down to 36.7. I have hashimotos

Hi, been Hashimotos/hypothyroid about 10 years. Was always on 225mg. Since perimenopause they've dropped me to 150 which I was reluctant but had to do. Stayed like this for 3 years but new Dr, new results - she wants to drop me again. Trying to balance HRT to help all pain and symptoms. Scared of how

hi, my husband has Graves and has been in remission since 2019. He checks his thyroid via Medichecks every few months. Worried about recent test results
My most recent test results are concerning. I've never had elevated Tg antibodies, only slightly elevatdd Tpo. TPO 210 Tg 971 TSH 1.85 T3 3.2 T4 17.3 What could the high tg anti mean? I'm worried about Thyroid cancer since I have never had this befire and I thought that only tpo was linked to autoimmunity

Come and Go
Curious if anyone has had this experience. One day I suddenly felt something behind my ear about 2 inches on skull or in my head. Within 24 hours it hurt so bad I couldn't touch it or lay my head on a pillow. I checked for a bug bite or redness and saw nothing. I may have over reacted but I was alarmed

Advice following GP visit please
Hi, I posted a few days ago asking for advice after having had results back from blood tests and struggling to see my GP. Well, I finally saw her today. Serum selenium results
I just had my selenium results back today. 1.27 Umo/L ref ( 0.75-1.46) Was advised to get selenium tested as recent tpo antibodys were raised . Not sure now if I actually need selenium with this result ? GP advised selenium would help but I'm guessing depending on results which seem to be in range

Help please in results interpretation of advanced function thyroid test
I’ve just received results of private test because surgery has reduced levothyroxine from 75mcg to 50mcg. Please see below. I would welcome some advice before I approach anyone. Jan 30 TSH 0.23 (0.27-4.2) T4 17.7 (10.5-24.5) At this point doctor wanted me to reduce to 50mcg but I confessed that

Advice for blood test results
Hi all, I would really appreciate some help with my latest blood test results. I have gradually reduced my meds over time, from 150/125 mcg Levothyroxine and 20 mcg liothyronine, to 75 mcg Levothyroxine and 10 mcg liothyronine. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s back in 2013, but my TPO has been within

Hashimotos for Sixteen Years, Realizing I Know Next to Nothing
This is a long story, and as with so much in this "we have too much info" age, I'm probably over-responding, but, I was recently blindsided by a new health condition, and I don't fancy having it happen again if there are cues available. I've had hypothyroidism/Hashimotos for 16-17 years, at least based

What tests are needed?
Hi, My husband is on Lithium and his regular bloods from that clinic showed his thyroid results were off so he was sent to the GP for testing. The nurse said his results were fine. We haven’t been able to access the results and I imagine they only did TSH or basic tests. I want to get our own tests

Looking for help :(
Diagnosed with hashimotos. I’ve had a few ongoing issues and symptoms and they’re getting worse. My endo didn’t believe it was thyroid related or pcos related but arranged for other tests like ACTH, RF etc. He also stated at this point they were discharging me as there’s nothing more they can help with

Is my 7 year old son hypothyroid?
My son is 7 years old and he doesn't seem to be growing enough, at least in the last year or so. I am suspecting he could be Hypothyroid because of my genes (Hashimoto's and Type 1 diabetes), so we did some blood work: hGH - 0,27 ng/mL (0,05 - 11,00) IGF-I - 74,93 ng/mL (18,00 - 307,00) TSH - 3,574

Hypothyroidism symptoms, in range results, potential next steps?
Hi, I've had fatigue and stomach issues for around 10 years following a bout of food poisoning however in the last few years these symptoms have become worse and now cover most of the symptoms named by the NHS for hypothyroidism, including in the last year or so developing what I assume is a goitre.
