Advice for newbie please
I've just been diagnosed with paroxysmal AF and, with a very supportive GP, I'm starting on the road to find a treatment that suits me best. I've read a lot but would love some tips on questions I should really be asking. In hindsight I had probably had infrequent episodes of AF that just left me feeling

Misdiagnosis?
Hi there, I have been a member of the group for about 18 months, and find it very helpful. I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis in 2007, but don't seem to have the symptoms described by many others on this site...I have no cough, also very little phlegm, which I thought was one of the main symptoms. I smoked

Abatacept concerns
Some folk here may be familiar with my condition after reading my recent "Desperation boulavard" post, for those who aren't, here's a brief rundown.... I stopped taking all my RA immune suppressing meds back last March. The reason being that I get recurring UTIs, one of which led to me getting septic

So many questions-! Potential asthma diagonsis
3 years ago, I had some serious breathing problems and heart palpitations begin. They still occur today, sometimes more often than other times, but always with specific circumstances. A Chest X-Ray recently showed I have Air Trapping in my lungs, and an A&E visit saw my O2 levels briefly dropping to

Chest X ray
Ok folks why would you have a chest xray because you have asthma? I just had one as my asthma hasnt yet resolved and on third lot of rescue steriods. What are they looking for? Chest is still sore indicating airways still inflamed. Result in two days.

New to COPD
Hi All Just been given diagnosis of COPD - at least GP receptionist advised that chest x-ray showed 'background changes of emphysema'. When I got to talk to GP (I had to call, nobody called me with results), she was very dismissive, told me xray showed smoking damage and that I would need to have breathing

C2N Clinical Trial - Not an option for my wife
Well, we travelled to Dallas, Texas this past week and it wasn't a pleasure trip by no means. We arrived in Dallas last Sunday and the flight was uneventful. Once we arrived at the hospital where we were to meet the doctor the following day to see if my wife would qualify for the C2N clinical trial
