Kidney issues post liver transplant
Hi I'm 1 year post liver transplant, but my kidneys seem to be taking a hit. My GFR is reducing at each blood test. It is now 39 and drops by about 5 every time. They've not said if it's now CKD but I'm worried as the internet says 39 is stage 3B. They have reduced my tacrolimus to 1mg twice daily,

Incomplete miscarriage advice
Hello ladies, Just before Christmas it was confirmed that my pregnancy was a blighted ovum. I decided to wait and let my body miscarry naturally. I bled for a 10 days, with one of those days losing clots and painful cramping. I went to A&E on Sunday due to difficulties sitting down, as it would cause

8dp5dt + symptoms gone - Can I test whilst on hCG shots? #update
Hi all, I'm on my 8dp5dt (first transfer with 2 FETs), after a history of two miscarriages. The lab messed up big time and didn't have the PGT results ready on the day that the transfer was scheduled for, so the doctor went ahead and transferred 2 FE (5 day blastocysts) anyway. We later found out that

Experience with Tacrolimus with or without Azathioprine
Hi all! My drs are suggesting to put me on tacrolimus alongside AZA to help with my joint pain. Has anyone been on tacrolimus? With or without AZA or another immunosuppressant? How is your experience? Anyone have any knowledge/experience of long-term tacrolimus? Also, I got told by the nurse

Extremely high free beta HCG at week 12 screening
Hi i am38, pregnant via IVF for 1st child. 12weeks screening put me 1:40 chance for Down’s syndrome, due to very high hcg 5.83 mom. The rest are within normal range. Subsequent NIPT showed low chance for all three syndromes. Any thoughts if I still should do aminocentesis ? Any similar experience with

Has anyone used cordyceps as an adjunctive treatment for kidney disease?
Cordyceps worm mold is widely used in China to treat kidney disease, and some scientific studies indicate that it may reduce creatinine values in patients with chronic kidney disease. I have never found found much personal benefit from it. Conclusions of recent Chinese study: "Current evidence shows

CD38 In CLL
Went for my annual checkup yesterday, WBC at 19.1 from 15.1 last year. Not enough WBC to know if mutated or not. The doctor did confirm I'm don't have 17p but I do have CD38.. according to Goggle I may see God sooner! What's the deal?

A little disheartened!
So I'd rather keep things positive but I suppose I can only be honest! Its 7 weeks since ablation for afib. Before ablation I was symptomatic during afib (shortness of breath, dizzy and palpitations and sweating) but when it self terminated after a while I was generally fine. And could excersise generally

2 chemical pregnancies in 3 month, low progesterone levels?
Hi ladies, after what I can describe as hell on earth last year I am finally feeling strong enough to ask for some advice/experience from you 💕 I've had 3 transfers (luckily only one ivf, as we had 12 embryos). My first transfer didn't stick. But last October and December I have had 2 transferred each

UK National COVID cancer test survey - Any results
Hi. I have just had a negative antibody test result after taking the National COVID cancer survey test. Obviously disappointed after having the 3rd dose of the Pfizer vaccine on the 2 Oct. Not sure if it makes a difference to me only waiting 17 day between the Jab and the test, perhaps I should have

Inhibition of Epstein-Barr virus reactivation in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by dietary sulforaphane 2013
EBV is a very common latent virus (up to 95% prevalence) and has been linked to autoimmune diseases and inflammation. PD may be an autoimmune disease. Seeing what things tamper down EBV.
