Rituximab after 3 months is a failure. I have been so much worse the last 6 weeks unable to walk or use my hands peripheral neuropathy off the scale . Managed to see another rheumatologist at the clinic . 3 infections and bed bound these last 6 weeks. Given a steroid injection and will see me in 2 months

Joint Steroid Injection
Hi,Im due to have a Steroid Injection in my knee to hopefully relieve the symptoms of Osteoarthritis. Which is very painful most of the time, and can be very debilitating. Just Wondering if anyone has had this done and knows how long it lasts before wearing off? Do they work? Are they worth having done

ICSI and low fertilisation rates
I had a failed first round with no fertilisation with IVF. I’ve just had my second with ICSI 21 eggs, 14 mature and three have fertilised normally. A bit disappointed with low fertilisation rates. If there’s only one I’ll go for fresh transfer on Friday and if more than one I’ll go for day 5 Sunday.

Hi ladies, I haven’t posted for a while but here I am again. We are going through our 4th ICSI round (all previous ones were completely unsuccessful and we didn’t even get to a transfer). This time we somehow magically got 2x 3BB day 5 blasts. Both were transferred on day 5. I am on 2x morning and

Advice/support much needed!! 2nd round of icsi
Looking for words of encouragement or support as I’m getting ready for my second round and feeling really anxious and negative. My background: Had first ICSI cycle in Feb. Only got 3 eggs, 1 wasn’t mature, 1 was fertilised but didn’t make it, 1 made it to a low grade blast and was transferred on day

Carnosine as potential initial PCa treatment
Researchers have discovered that a naturally-occurring molecule could potentially be an effective first line of treatment against prostate cancer. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) scientists investigated the anti-cancer properties of carnosine, which can be produced in the body and is also found

Looking for success stories
I’m feeling a little deflated and I’m hoping you lovely humans can share some success stories with me. We had egg collection today. Despite having a high AMH (50.9) and PCOS they only retrieved five eggs, with two of the larger follicles being empty. For context, I’m 35 and we’re having ICSI due to

Amitriptyline
Hi all, I've had ibs -c for many years. Last year I was in so much pain in my hips my doc sent me for an xray it turned out to be an impingement. My doc gave me amitriptyline as a painkiller. Oh my word they worked wonders. I was regular as clockwork no bloating. I had been on a diet with no weight loss

16 follicles but only 3 now growing?
Hi all - long time loiterer, first round IVF-er. I am in the stims stage of our first ever IVF round and slowly baking some follicles over here for first collection for PGTA. I know there are huge drop-offs at each stage - and super unlikely to get great numbers when I'm 42, however......at my baseline

DNA fragmentation and ICSI
Hello, I'm experiencing severe PMS today which means I'm overthinking everything and negative thoughts are just going round and round after a confirmed negative test on Friday (my 3rd and last FET of this cycle). We recently discovered my partner's DNA fragmentation is sitting at 30% and I have a few

Review of medication at GP.
Just seen on my GP notes on line my medication review. I have not seen this gp or any other for this review.i am on 4 sheets of prescription pad.is this normal? I would have thought with 3 previous heart attacks ,14 stents, bronchitis, constant pain in legs and feet, diabetes I would have been consulted

Propafenone and taste
Anyone have any firsthand experience with Propafenone and taste? Everything tastes disgusting this morning and I hope its a side effect that fades.😬. Still not convinced it is going to even stop the Atrial Tachycardia as I am still having it, but now this.... Ugh.

Making the invisible visible
I thought I’d share this in case it’s helpful for anyone. One of the hardest parts of my infertility journey has been dealing with pain and grief that is largely invisible to those around us. We are so blessed to have a daughter as a result of our fourth ICSI attempt, 5 years after we started try for

Upon losing my father , some retrospect. Take what you need and leave the rest.
Tysm for all. Unfortunately my dad's death was long and horrifying bc he couldn't breathe . He died of leukemia to my knowledge, not prostate cancer and please dont jump on me for saying so bc I am vaxxed and I'm not an anti vaxxer, but I have no doubt that that the vaccines sped up his demise as he got

5 fertilised eggs, 1 still trying ICSI
Good morning, Yesterday I had my egg collection and they managed to collect 20 eggs, which I really wasn't expecting as I have a low AMH so was extremely happy. This morning I received that dreaded call to say 14 out of the 20 were mature, 5 have fertilised normally and 1 is trying to fertilise. I now

Why am I not elated? (Sensitive)
I’ve just tested (faintly) positive after trying naturally this month! We were due to start a second round of ICSI in a few days. Our first round was an unexplained disappointment (23 fertilised eggs but only one average blast) and resulted in a chemical. I don’t know whether it’s the fact I don’t have

Day 3 transfer of fragmented embryos
I'm 33 yo with presumed poor egg quality though we have not check for sperm fragmentation. I have had 5 egg retrievals over the last year. The first 3 were to bank embryos and the fourth one was in Nov 2023 where we did a fresh transfer of a day 5 early blastocyst that failed. I usually make around
