Hair Loss while on IBrance?
After my 3rd recurrance of breast cancer (all in breast and chest area) and even after bi lateral mastectomies and radiation and chemo. I've been on ibrance/letrozole for 1 1/2 yrs. I noticed some thinning of my hair approximately 6 months ago. Lately its thinning further. Anyone else had this

After Abiterone stops working, would Darolutamide be an option?
my brother has stage 4 prostate cancer. He responded well to Abiterone for 20 months and it recently stopped. The doctor is wanting him to start Docetaxel chemo and I know it has terrible side effects. I read somewhere that trying Daralutamide msg be an option. Has anyone tried this? Also, what is the

Other than Chemo, what other treatments for PCA is a port used for?
I'm considering having my port removed. I can always have another placed if needed, right? Update, ago Well darn. Went for flush and psa draw and they couldn't draw any blood. They said they can still administer meds, but the blood had to be drawn from my arm. Planning on calling surgeon on Monday.

I was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer in November 2020, my PSA at that time was2600, had it not been for Covid I would have had Chemo but I was lucky enough to be put on Xtandi, four tablets a day, had the usual side effects, restless legs, hot sweats etc but I persevered and now 2 years later

Parps
I found out yesterday I am BRAC negative. I was diagnosed with Stage 2b High Grade Serous Carcinoma in July, finished chemo last month. My cancer nurse mentioned that I might need to go on parp inhibitors, she would talk to my oncologist. I have no experience of parps. Do parps slow down/stop the return

Good news from me too
Hi there. Hope you’re all going ok? I had my first scan ( CT with contrast) since July 2020 on 2nd December 2022 ( Prof Christina Fotopoulou advised me to have after seeing her on 21st Nov ). Prof CF phoned me on 5th December to let me know the scan results showed there was no evidence of disease

Low WBC at 7 weeks after final chemo - anyone experience this?
I'm on Lupron (since May, 2022) and finished my 6th round of chemo (docetaxel) about 7 weeks ago. Got Neulasta the day after each round and counts came back nicely, except after the last (6th). One week after last chemo, my WBC was 3.1. Since then it has been bouncing around between 1.7 and 2.8; yesterday

Confused, shocked, unsure
Radiotherapy and
Chemotherapy
isn't an option either. She was prescribed steroids. As a preventative measure only she was offered
Chemotherapy
tablets for 5 days once a month only which she has accepted. After 3 months they will scan again and see if there has been any improvement.

update after stopping Carboplatin
Surgery will be in 2-3 weeks...in terms of
chemotherapy
doing its job the report from CT scan seems to be no change in tumour size, no bigger, no smaller so pretty much chemo stopped things from progressing any further...but lymph nodes showed improvement🙂 so that's a good result ..so all in all even

Timing of scans?
How often are people having scans after chemo? I last had a scan in August 22 when I finished front line chemo. I have since started maintenance then stopped to have a lymph node removed and restarted again. I was of the understanding I would get one every 3 months for at least a year but this doesn't
