PSA down but mets increasing?
I've been on ADT + Xtandi for about a year (see my Bio for details) and my PSA has been slowly and steadily reducing over that time - now down to 0.05. However, my 3 CT scans (last August, December and last month) are showing a slight increase each time in the size of my lymph node mets and the bone

Next Steps?
Good morning my fellow warriors. I have reached another cross roads in my treatment. I was set up to have HDR and SbRT as salvage treatment, but a PSMA scan showed disease progression to more lymph nodes which caused my Radiation Onc. to cancel the HDR. My regular ONC is now recommending Chemo after

Docetaxil first, then Pluvicto or Pluvicto first
Zytiga failed and Dr Milowsky, my MO at Lineberger Cancer Ctr recommends I go on
chemotherapy
first and if or when that fails, go to Pluvicto.

Update
My husband David is receiving
chemotherapy
(Vidaza) to improve his blood counts. His MDS is a serious stage, described to us as "refractory anemia with excess blasts 1." His blood counts are all extremely low with an ominous increase in "monocytes."

My Journey - Breast Cancer
So far - I'm Lucky. On March 8th - my husband found a lump on my right breast. He was so sweet - Honey - when was your last Mamo. July 2023 - Why. And then he showed me what he felt. After a sleepless night - right to the Gyno - no worries about apts. I needed to see them. They got me a Mamo

My Experience with Chemo/Radiotherapy
I was diagnosed with a brain tumour back in December 2012. At that time it was misdiagnosed as a GBM4 but a recurrence in 2019 sent me to hospital again where it was finally rediagnosed as an AO3. Like the GBM4, an AO3 is still terminal but gives one plenty more time on this earth. I never had radiotherapy

Thought I would never say this but I’m struggling!!!!
I’m 7.5 years into the journey aged 57 yrs old. I have done chemo, (x3) radiation and Pluvicto. It feels like the Pluvicto accelerated the disease into the whole right side of my pelvis. Scans were ugly and for some reason I have agreed to jevtana as I live for my family. Trouble is I'm miserable and

Pluvicto works but at what cost
70 yo with Stage 4, multiple bone mets, on Orgovyx daily and Xgeva every 3 months. DaVinci in past. Previously on Firmagon, Xtandi worked for awhile, nothing with Xofigo and a few rounds of Jevtana didn’t help and caused problems, also had localized XRT - but had to have chemo to qualify for Pluvicto

PTH and aggressive PCa? I need guidance
Hello, everyone! I can really use some guidance. My husband’s PTH (Parathyroid hormone) has been elevated since his Dx (pre & post treatments) Being that his blood calcium is at normal levels, his MO ruled out Secondary Hyperparathyroidism, and moved on. But that never sat right with me. Why the elevated

SCT update
I went into hospital today to start my chemo, only to be told there is an issue with the donor! Obviously don’t know if there’s a family issue or they’ve changed their mind. I knew it could happen, but doesn’t make it any easier. Thanks for all your love & support, best wishes. Shirley
