FCR, novel agents, advances in CLL treatment, what CLL patients can hope for in the future. Australian experts discuss advances at ASH2018
Great to hear of real change beginning to happen in CLL, we really do have a reason to be hopeful. Transformation of CLL into prolymphocytic leukaemia
my blood work says that my TLC is 227.9 with Atypical lymphoid cells at 30% , and 65% being prolymphocytes . The rest 5% are Neutrophils. Does it mean my cll decease dx in 2013 transformed into more aggressive subset of CLL , namely pro lymphoccytic leukamea which is hard to treat. My chemo immuno

When do you get answers...
So I was diagnosed with SLE & Lupus Nephritis in Feb, since then been on the wonderful treatment rollercoaster. As I am over 40 and was receiving fertility treatment when I was diagnosed, which I believe sped up the Nephritis, and now potentially premenopausal I 1st went on a course of strong steroids

90 days on Ibrutinib
Today marks the 90th day I have been on Ibrutinib. I feel blessed that I've only had a mild reaction and then only in the first month. I still suffer from Infections because of low immunity. This has been demonstrated in the last week with a sickness and diahorrea bug which lasted a week for me but 24

IR vs FCR - PFS Sub-Group Analysis
Thanks to twitter users posting slides from the late-breaking ASH 2018 presentation! In all sub-groups IR was better. I presume the dotted vertical line is the indicator of statistical significance. https://twitter.com/TeamHaem/status/1069990083946733568

Rituximab/Rituxan Side Effects
A month and a half to 2 months after I finished my last infusion I started having side effects. I went on-line because I wasn't getting answers from my docs. I thought there just couldn't be any other explanation for what was happening. As best as I can understand once the body is ready for the anti-bodies

Live vaccines
Hi all. I’m Considering a holiday tour for hubbys special birthday but destinations likely require live vaccinations eg yellow fever, typhoid etc. I have lupus and APS with medication including methotrexate and rituximab. I’m waiting to hear back about this from rheumatologist but wondered if others

Grump Old Man
I’ve had severe RA since 1996. I struggled on working until the end of 2004 when I had to take early retirement from a high stress and well paid job, aged 55. Am I alone in being fairly “Grump” when I read posts like “now I’m on Whatevermab I’m doing a Charity climb of Mount Everest, a Triathlon and

stopping humira after cancer
Hi all. I stopped humira while I had a breast cancer op (lumpectomy) and 3 weeks of radiotherapy treatment this August/September. My rheumatologist now says it is contraindicated to go back on humira, especially as I also had endometrial cancer in 2014. The cancers were unrelated and fortunately dealt

First Cycle of FCR (IV)
I am writing this to document what I am going through and maybe compare with others experiences with FCR treatment for CLL. Intro: USA Male Diagnosed 2 years ago (age 50) with routine CBC labs and small swollen lymph nodes. CLL recently went from slow to rapid growth (Last 6 months). Hemo Dr. decided

Google How does FLUAD work
If you scroll down to who should not take this it says if you are on Rituximab & a whole other lot of Biologics " you should speak to your doctor
who may suggest you stop taking it"
But maybe the under 65 vaccine says that too? Does anyone know how to " stop taking a drug infused 4 months ago"
