Starting Xeloda soon
I am a rare case for Johns Hopkins. Dx de novo ER/Pr +, Her2 - almost 8 years ago. Two very tiny liver mets only. Did extremely well and achieved NED status on Ibrance and AI for 6.5 years when we noticed the primary site of cancer in the breast was growing. Switched to Faslodex and Fulvestrant.

Vacation or Zytiga...Onco says Zytiga...
Did 28 days of
Casodex
then 3 months of Lupron received another injection last month. PSA now .02 and husband tried Zytiga in past month and went off due to High BP. Onco says no vacation because data does not favor it... but on here I have read otherwise... All input greatly appreciated.

tingling/numb fingers
I read tingling is a listed
Casodex
side effect. Very reluctant to stop use because PSA remains very low. Anyone else experience this with bicalutamide (
casodex
)? Did it get worse - spread? Did it go away? Any supplement or drug therapy help?

UPDATE AFTER IMRT
PSA was 8.11 which led to my Urology Oncologist (UO) starting me on
Casodex
& Eligard, and ordering a GA-68 PSMA-PET scan which was done in mid June (2 weeks after starting ADT).

Hello eyebrows, my old friend
I donāt quite know how to put this, or where this post will end up. I have had super thin/missing eyebrows since iv chemo in 2016. Was on Arimidex follow up for 5 years and noticed that they never returned. Fast forward to my current ibrance/faslodex and xgeva protocol and more of the same. Unit

Continue Casodex or move to Lupron?
What do you all think about continuing
Casodex
and watch the numbers monthly? If it rises, back on Lupron of course. But if
Casodex
is keeping it at bay, much fewer side effects to deal with. Is 1.6 a livable number, or should I go full-on Lupron and get it to 0?

Rezvilutamide: new anti-androgen is better than Casodex added to ADT for newly diagnosed high-met HSPC. But is field too crowded?
They randomized patients with 4 or more bone metastases to Rezvilutamide+ADT or
Casodex
+ADT. It increased 2-year radiographic progression-free survival by 56% and 2-year overall survival by 42%. It also significantly increased time to castration resistance by 79%.

Dumb Question on Casodex
Four weeks of
Casodex
50 mg alone reduced my PSA from 1.10 to 0.42.
Casodex
stops testosterone from all sources from binding to cancer cells. While Lupron decreases testosterone produced by the testicles. Why shouldn't
Casodex
be better than Lupron?

platlets
hi ladies. Strange thing happened the other day. I have been on ibrance and faslodex for over 5 years and usually all my blood work is good but this time my platlets were 515 and should be 440. My doctor isnāt concerned but of course I am. Has anyone ever had this issue. Thanks so much. Marianne

does Ibrance cause gastritis? FODMAP diet helps diarrhea from Ibrance.
I have estrogen positive MBC since 2018 and on Ibrance and Faslodex since that time. I have been in remission for 18 months. one year ago I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which showed severe stomach inflammation. My symptoms were persistent nausea and frequent diarrhea. I took a course of proton pump

Who has ESR1 how are you doing
I just developed the ESR1 mutation and went on Faslodex and switched to Kisquali. I was wondering if anyone has this mutation and how your meds working. Iām only looking to hear about ESR1 stories and if it impacted your treatment or progression and how you are doing. If you do not have the mutation

Between a rock and another rock...
Was just told by my uro-onc that
Casodex
is about to kill me by shutting down my liver, based on 3 liver enzyme readings (ALT=177; AST=144; ALK.PH.=482). If I stop taking it, PCa will kill me. Right now, PSA is undetectable.

tumor markers rising but scans show tumors stable/ shrinking?
Hello! So my tumor markers have been going up for the last 3 months but the last set of scans showed everything stable/shrinking. I feel well. I have lobular so I know it can be sneaky. I have been on Faslodex and Ibrance for a year. Doc doesnāt want to change med because of tumor markers. (

Introducing myself. Have mostly lurked for a couple of months, but time to formally say I'm here and start asking my own questions.
The ONLY treatment I've had to date for the PCa is an ELIGARD injection, no
Casodex
or Xtandi, etc. yet. I've already met with an MO and an RO, but both are waiting for a pelvic bone biopsy before finalizing plans, but the RO's propose treatment is in my profile.
