At a total loss
I was told at the time it was vital to undertake a
Cardioversion
as I was potentially in some danger. After being kept without anything to eat or drink, I was sent home with no real explanation albeit my heart rate had reduced to around 120.

improving the chance of successful cardioversion
Hi all, I have had AF for approx. 9 months and am due to have my first DC
cardioversion
in a few weeks. I am taking amiodarone leading up to the procedure and also on bisisoprolol. I have read that fish oil can improve the chance of success.

Ablate or wait?
Dear All, Following six months in AF and two cardioversions I have spent the last 11 weeks in the fabled domain of NSR, thanks to a daily dose of 2 x 50 mg flecainide. Unfortunately during the last two of these weeks I have had two bouts of AF, about 2 weeks apart one lasting about 10 hours overnight

Was in PAF but now NSR
Amidarone is being reduced weekly until 1 x 200mg so that I can have a
cardioversion
on 25th August.

All is forgiven
Having blogged a few weeks ago that I had AF with high pulse rate, I am now back in NSR after two months and won't be needing the
cardioversion
scheduled for end of August.

cryobablation
it was offered to me as an option after an episode of AF resulted in me needing
cardioversion
- i thought would give medications a chance to work . Today (18 months after first
cardioversion
) i needed
cardioversion
again due to AF and atrial flutter .

It's a girl thing......
My silly dilemma is I am now preparing for my next
cardioversion
. The previous 2 have been in Cambridge and no nail varnish was allowed.

AF Trigger and possible self-cardioversion solution
Me again. Much talked about subject I know, but this evening I feel that I have got my head around what triggers me into AF. Previously I have stated that exercise triggers me. This is true, but what I have realised today is that ANYTHING that elevates my HR to a certain level (let's call it "X"), and

Cardioversion
Good afternoon everyone. I'm now 9 weeks post 2nd ablation and had my third post ablation cardio version yesterday. My question - is there a limit to how many cardio version one can have?

Atrial Tachycardia following Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation
I am 47 year old male in decent health (apart from this). In September of last year I went for an annual Blood Pressure test at my GPs. The nurse doing the test thought my heart rate was high and suggested I have an ECG. After having the ECG and visiting the hospital I was told I had persistent AF.

AF /SVT
It came back in 2015 and I've had numerous hospital admissions , many different drugs and
cardioversion
in 2016 . I'm now on dronderone but still having constant episodes of AF or SVT . My cardiologist said he doesn't suggest another ablation . But I'd like to try as this thing is driving me.

Amiaderone for AF
After struggling on for some 42 weeks on Diltiazem and Digoxin with swelling ankles and little improvement in the AF, a locum cardiologist, thank God, started me on Amiaderone in early May 2016 a couple of weeks before a
cardioversion
he arranged which was successful and I have been fine with steady

Ablation and cardioversion in the same op
But since it needed a

to complete it, was it really a success?
