Local Anaesthetic with bisoprolol - for non dental surgical procedures.
It was only afterwards that I read the NICE guidelines that lidocaine can produce a severe reaction with bisoprolol and can cause
cardiac
arrest
, so isn’t to be given. I asked what anaesthesia it would be for this next procedure and was told I’d be given lidocaine again.

Cardiac Arrest recovery
A year ago I had a C/A ,you don’t feel any pain you just collapse. Woke up three days later in hospital, I had tubes in places that I did not know I had. A year on and my recovery is almost there , I still get very tired quickly. The care and attention that I received in hospital was the best and has

”Aggressive” AF
The last ablation was in June then in July, I had a
cardiac
arrest
in Crete (apparently unrelated to AF). I now have an ICD fitted but AF is debilitating me.

URGENT ADVICE - Challenge Doctors
ICU doctors are refusing to give my father further treatment & stated if he deteriorates they will not get involved as they believe he will not wake up from his coma but he has only been out of sedation for 13 days following a
cardiac
arrest
. He is not brain dead but has hypoxia brain injury.

What is an AED? 🤔
The first and often only symptom of a sudden

is when someone faints. Sudden

Tikosyn (Dofetilide)?
Apparently it is less toxic in the long run than Amiodarone, but it requires three-days in the hospital at the outset to monitor no adverse reactions (which can include
cardiac
arrest
).

Anyone with heart scar tissue?
I found out I had some scar tissue after a heart MRI following a sustained ventricular tachycardia
cardiac
arrest
in 2021, I am on beta blocker sotalol 80mg twice a day. I would be curious to know if there are others in a similar situation and what do they do to stay healthy .

Anaemia or CLL? Time for re-referral?
Well...... over the past 3 years my wife has suffered Covid, Shingles, breast cancer and a
cardiac
arrest
in that order. Very traumatic, especially for a fitness ‘guru’.

APS Symptoms
I’m lost and no one seems to be able to tell me I have no idea which symptoms are related to which condition (you may remember I have long QT a rare genetic heart condition and many meds could cause a heart attack/
cardiac
arrest
) So I have: Migraines. Pains in head (I think are micro clots).

/heart attack :( I have not been able to eat healthy or do running since I have been at uni, but I do walk a lot and perhaps don’t drink enough water as a should, but I know it is not as simple as that.

Dad not waking up from induced coma after Sudden Cardiac Arrest, What are his chances? Signs of 'waking up'?
My Dad is 54 years old and collapsed at work last Friday 03/03/2023 from Sudden
Cardiac
Arrest
. No symptoms, no chest pains, no warning signs. He is moderately fit, not a heavy drinker but is a heavy smoker and they found a blocked valve that had built up for months allegedly due to the smoking.

Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest
Two weeks ago I had a heart attack and
cardiac
arrest
which left me with some heart damage. I have not yet started cardio rehab but I have a Fitbit and have noticed when walking for more than 5 mins my HR goes above 100 . My resting HR for the past 5 days is 48.
