Do you know the difference between a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and a heart attack?
Would you be able to tell the difference between a Sudden
Cardiac
Arrest
(SCA) and a Heart Attack? If so, would you know what to do? A sudden
cardiac
arrest
is often misunderstood to be the same as a heart attack.
They are not the same.
They are both an emergency situation.

I am taking a lot of medications after my
cardiac
arrest
. I do not feel well because of them. Is this normal?

had a
cardiac
arrest
on Christmas eve. I was resuscitated for over 2 hours. I was in hospital for 7 weeks and returned home in February. I am reaching out for anyone who has had something similar. I am struggling to walk without aid and feel off balance.

Footballer cardiac arrest
So today I see that Luton’s captain, Tom Lockyer, had a
cardiac
arrest
during a game, having previously had a collapse on the pitch caused by AF and having ‘an operation to fix the problem which shouldn’t happen again’.

The unanswered question...
Can I drive after a
cardiac
arrest
? Answers seem vague at best. Is there anything definitive for the long term?

PIP refusal
Have been refused PIP now for the third time last Wednesday after ongoing heart ops and heart related conditions since my initial
cardiac
arrest
3 years ago today. Any suggestions would be welcome as I am self employed and work / income are suffering.🫀

So do people think his
cardiac
arrest
is something to do with AF? As someone who is currently in persistent AF this has now got me worried.

Getting back to work and life expectancy
I recently read that suffering an out of hospital
cardiac
arrest
could mean that my life expectancy is potentially reduced to having another 15 years ! I'm only 40!

Cardiac arrest/pause/shock
My 52 y old husband had a
cardiac
arrest
and heart attack (100% blocked artery) I was with him so did CPR straight away so luckily he came back in 10-15 seconds. I've seen an arrest in the past so I thought that was it.

just saying hi
The last time in 2021 Halloween night - I was sleeping , had a nightmare in which I dreamt I was having a
cardiac
arrest
and my defibrillator was kicking in , in the dream but at this time my defibrillator was actually going off as I’d had a
cardiac
arrest
while sleeping This was really happening.

Hypoxic brain damage
Hi, my Dad had a
cardiac
arrest
on the 16th August last year a few days after falling off a cliff and surviving. He now has hypoxic brain damage and is in rehabilitation. He's a completely new person and almost seems brainwashed? I'm still struggling to cope due to the massive personality change.
