One last battle
Sent home to do cabazitaxel/
carboplatin
after Christmas. My question: what side effects might I experience on this chemo combo? I only had fatigue (and hair loss) when I did taxotere. I wish you all happy holidays. Every day is precious.

Fourth line chemo
First round tomorrow,
carboplatin
as single agent initially - possibly adding gemcitane if it seems to need an extra boost.

Things have gone from bad to worse; need some hope and guidance.
I asked her about adding
carboplatin
to his chemo- she said no. I asked her about provenge or immunotherapy- she said that's not for this stage I asked her about PARP-inhibitors- she said his genetic testing is negative. We are all heartbroken as it feels like we are in a very bad situation.

Has anyone experience of weekly rather than 3 weekly chemo sessions?
I then saw the oncologist who gave me more info on the chemo (Paclitaxel &
carboplatin
) on a 3 week cycle.

Update
He is starting
Carboplatin
-Etoposide chemotherapy tomorrow. Has anyone had this type of prostate cancer and been given this mix of chemo? We have basically been told that if this doesn’t respond there is little else they can do. Martin still has no symptoms. Feels fine and is working away.

Lu-177 as SOC vs Clinical Trial
Since I've now just had my 16th cabazitazel/
carboplatin
chemo treatment, we're looking at options and working on Lu-177. I'm curious that, since Lu-177 is now FDA approved and is Standard Of Care, is there an advantage to seeking a clinical trial vs receiving it as SOC?

Recurrence for clear cell ovarian cancer
I started paclitaxel and
carboplatin
and had 6 cycles every 3 weeks finishing on the 27th September. My CA125 remained at 10. I began Niraparib in the November and my CA125 was already starting to rise although I didn't know until just before christmas when I went to see my oncologist.

Setback
I had 4 sessions, the first with pemetrexed and
carboplatin
. but the following three I only got
carboplatin
, due to my kidneys giving a GFR reading of 37. The last chemo was 25 Nov and then I had a contrast CT scan on the 28th.

When to add Lynparza?
I completed six rounds of chemo (docetaxel +
carboplatin
) end of February. Bottom line from PSMA Pet scan in late March: some tumors reduced in size/intensity, others stayed the same, no new PCa evident. PSA remains undetectable. I’m on Lupron and Nubeqa.

PT-112 Immunotherapy Trial
From the side effects, it feels like about 10 percent of what chemotherapy felt like to me (docetaxel+
carboplatin
). After a few days of mild nausea after each treatment I mostly feel fatigued and foggy, but I'm still continuing to work.

Abdominal Hysterectomy
I had six cycles of chemotherapy with
carboplatin
only as I had allergic reaction to taxol. Im a BRCA2 positive and responded quite well to chemotherapy. My initial CA125 was around 3000 and it dropped to 7 after my sixth cycle.

Reoccurrence Clear Cell OC
In January 2023 I've been diagnosed with a reoccurrence; I am currently being treated with
Carboplatin
and Pacliataxol again which doesn't seem to be doing much.

Cabazitaxel and Carboplatin…. Combined?
Is
Carboplatin

Carboplatin
. Not saying this was wrong at all, but would just like to know more on this subject. Thanks

Things don’t look good!!!
My husband has been on Zytiga, Lynparza, Keytruda Doxetaxel, Cabazitaxel as well as
Carboplatin
. Nothing really worked long term. He is Castrate resistant. He most recently had one treatment of Lu 177. His platelets never really bounced back since his first treatment.

carboplatin and Gemzar infusion 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who is on this compound currently. My cancer has come out of remission and I’d like to hear what these drugs did for you. I do recall having a round of treatment with these in 2019, but I’m a little vague on remembering some of the side effects. I appreciate any

ICON8 Trial
I thought I'd already heard them and let you all know but for those that don't know anything about it, it was a trial to see if giving
carboplatin
every three weeks and paclitaxel once a week for a total of eighteen weeks would be better than giving both every three weeks.

Quality of life?
Hi ladies, I have been on
Carboplatin
/Gemcitabine for first recurrence & then on Gemcitabine on its own for a year which was been used as maintenance. This has worked very well for me as, remaining nodes after my last op have decreased & my oncologist is very pleased with my recent Ct scan.
