Swapping Rasagiline for Safinamide - Hobson’s Choice or out of the frying pan and into the fire?
I have been on Rasagiline from the start. 8 years as my staple bedrock of my cocktail of PD drugs principally Ropinirole, Amantadine and of course Co-Careldopa. I have a pacemaker and take Atorvastatin and Ramipril for heart issues. Now the pharmacy says Rasagiline is in short supply in the UK and likely

Wondering if dad has RLS instead of PD (or both?). Any RLS indicators here?
Reason being was he started on
Carbidopa
/
Levodopa
(Sinemet) 25/100 mg in combination with Mirapex 0.125, 2x a day as his regimen. Helped with moving faster and more precise for 2 weeks. But when both doses increased to 3x a day = hallucination side effect, taken for 5 weeks.

CARBIDOPA 25/LEVODOPA 100MG TAB For RLS
I know this drug was talked about in relation to Parkinson's. My doctor has prescribed it for my RLS when I travel in an airplane. I am only to take no more than 3 tablets per week. Has anyone used this for traveling? Any help? Side effects? Comments, please.

I'm trying to eliminate
carbidopa
/
levodopa
for RLS. It has augmented to the point that I need it every 3 hrs. around the clock. Neurologist will never prescribe low dose opioid. I am substituting 50 mg pregablin for one of those doses every other time.

Do you keep medications in the container they are received in? Inactive Ingredients may be Active.
One of the generic
carbidopa
-
levodopa
brands has a filler in it that is very sensitive to moisture and light. The tablets are not enteric coated and the tablets do not have a shine like most tablets. They are manufactured and then shipped in the white aluminum sealed pill bottles.

PD and B1
I am taking
carbidopa
/
levodopa
for three years now. I have read ”Parkinson’s and the B1 therapy“ on Amazon and am evaluating my next steps. At my last visit to the Neurologist, she mentioned something that could put the cabidopa/levodopa “on high octane”.

Prescribed him
carbidopa
levodopa
. He lost what little energy he had and suffered from dizzy spells. Stopped that drug, contacted doc and his reply was I'll send a different drug but the side effects will probably be worse.

Co-Careledopa - what does science say - when to start taking
Hello, I was diagnosed Macrh '22. My doctor prescribed me 12.5mg / 50mg, two tablets to be taken three times per day. I feel fine just taking 1 tablet per day, two if I have a stressful day at work. Though I can imagine stepping up to two per day soon. I recently saw my Doctor. He recommended,

park_bear made a very compelling argument for taking P5P (active B6)
I have read that only 5%(b) of
levodopa
before
carbidopa
was added makes it to your brain and after carbidopa only 44%(c). If you are going to neutralize the carbidopa in your system, it makes sense not to while you maybe don’t need extra dopamine in your brain.

spasms
I am on muscle relaxants and tramadol for pain and
carbidopa
/
levodopa
for Pakinson like symptoms, none of which helped 2 nights ago and I ended up falling hitting my back and the back of my head. Last night I had severe spasms and went to ER.

carbidopa, levodopa and anal/rectal pain
I know this might be a little bit of TMI for some of you, but I have to know if anyone of you out there has ever experienced severe anal/rectal pain from using
carbidopa
levodopa
? Especially from the time you take it until the time it seems to start to work?
