Adrenal hormones, sex hormones, and neurotransmitters are functionally interrelated. Changes in sex hormones and adrenal hormones can lead to neurotransmitter imbalances. In turn, neurotransmitter imbalances can affect hormone function. The following tests are recommended to establish your baseline.

Titrating down on Sinemet experience
I wanted to post my experience titrating down in case it helped someone else who was trying to do the same thing. I was originally prescribed 25/100 3 tablets per day (sinemet) 2 years ago. RH tremor was my only major symptom at that time. After 2 months of nausea, my body got used to the drug and

Road block
Saw new neurologist, she offered only psychologist, I've been there in the past, all they do is open all the boxes you closed and moved away from. Physiotherapy to improve walking, might do that when the pension allows. Levodopa has stopped working after only 3 months, I was only allowed minimum dose

Q10 1200mg for PSP?
Hi everybody. It is my first time posting on this group. My mother in law was diagnosed PSP 1 year ago and she is not responsive to Levodopa med. Dr. says only option is management. I read about Q10 1200 mg recommended for PSP as adjunct treatment. Does anyone have experience with Q10? Her doctor said

Levadopa
208 years and still NO medicine that stops or improves Parkinson.. Levadopa discovered in 1910 used in 1960's for Parkinson. I'm impressed that researchers can keep a dangerous drug like levodopa as the leading treatment for Parkinson's for so long!!! when it does not even cure Parkinson's and after

The revolution we are living through, the need for simplicity and a few controversial considerations.
Is
levodopa
-
carbidopa
the best option? 2. Should Parkinson's be treated by a neurologist alone, or could it also be an internist or gastroenterologist? 3. Does the pharmaceutical industry influence or decide the way the world of Parkinson's goes: research, funding, treatments, etc.? 4.

Any advice about weaning off of levodopa and starting amantadine.
I have developed dyskinesia and doctors tried reducing levodopa thinking I was getting too much but dyskinesia persisted.

Carbidopa depletes B6, Anyone substituting Carbidopa with 5-HTP?
Topic might be old and tired but I just wanted to know what others are doing I'm trying to help my mother. Quote:The novel hypothesis is, if when administered properly 5-HTP has no side effects, then there is no justifiable reason to not substitute 5-HTP for carbidopa. The current medical care standard

Does Ongentys work in the body or the gut?
Never mind - Says to take on empty stomach (no eating 1 hour before or after). So in my case would make no difference. So, maybe the question is does Ongentys work only because of (no eating 1 hour before or after).
