Lactobacillus and Levodopa
Has anyone seen the uTube video re the Gastro Intestinal doctor who advised against taking probiotics because of the adverse action of lactobacillus on Levodopa? I saw it recently and can't find it now - I am interested in reading further about the lactobacillus impact on Levodopa. I would appreciate

The Effect of Curcumin on Idiopathic Parkinson Disease: A Clinical and Skin Biopsy Study
Abstract There are currently no standardized therapies for Parkinson disease (PD). Curcumin shows anti-amyloidogenic properties in vitro and may be a promising treatment for PD. We evaluated the effects of curcumin supplementation on clinical scales and misfolded, phosphorylated α-synuclein (p-syn) accumulation

Carbodopa levodopa frequency and dosage
My fathers neurologist said he can only take 2 levodopa/carbodopa pills at a time but increase the frequency as needed. My father does not have an issue with the frequency, its just that 2 pills at a time are not enough. Is this doctors recommendation correct? It seems he will do so much better with

Because of a worsening in my mother's health, I don't know when I will be able to resume the English translation of my book on curing Parkinson's. I will be sharing some chapters in this extraordinary forum. I have to stop my investigation

Who wakes up “on”?
Can you please indicate if when you wake up you need a dose of levodopa to be able to move, and who feels best first thing before a dose? I just found this picture. Ignore the schitzophrenia references, I just found it interesting how dopamine levels fluctuate during the day naturally in a normal person

Who has tried Methylene Blue?
Searching the web, people have been talking about Methylene Blue for PD for at least 10 years. Has anybody tried it? Any details to share? Edit June 3rd 2022: Yikes! According to RXlist.com you should NOT take Methylene Blue and Levadopa: https://www.rxlist.com/drug-interactions/methylene-blue-oral-and-levodopa-oral-interaction.htm

Tapering down Levodopa any advice ?
Hi I’m new here and London, UK based. I’m trying to wean off Sinemet (total dose per day 75/300) slowly and completely after taking it for 4 months (since diagnosis). I’ve had more intense non- motor symptoms (e.g. depression exhaustion) trying to come off than before I started the meds. I’m wondering

News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
This is the information that gave us hope while my father was alive and has given hope to many since then (March 2012). 1. News that worried us. In the coming decades the number of Parkinson's disease patients is feared to increase very worryingly, to double by 2030 (Dorsey 2007) and even to triple

INBRAIN PHARMA: direct injection of dopamine into the brain
Injecting dopamine directly into the brain using a small internal pump is what Lille researchers have succeeded in limiting the adverse effects of conventional drugs linked to Parkinson's disease. The InBrain Pharma team is pleased to see its therapeutic solution - backed by very promising initial safety

Oral berberine improves brain dopa/dopamine levels to ameliorate Parkinson’s disease by regulating gut microbiota
EDIT March 17, 2024:
Today somebody shared a link to a two year old post of mine about a report on Berberine being neurotoxic and taking it off of my stack. Within a few months I found other information on Berberine and, using my High School educated brain, decided that Berberine definitely needed
