Calquence break for Surgery
wondering if anyone on BTKi's, especially the newer
Calquence
tab, has had stomach problems while taking time off of it for surgery. I had horrible side effects from it for three months while at the start of it..and then it stopped and all was OK with stomach.

Covid Vax when Sick?
I'm on
Calquence
so my immune system is challenged in terms of making antobodies. Is it okay to get vaccinated while my body is fighting something else or should I wait until I'm feeling better?

Calquence & Mole Removal ?
One doctor said I don't have to stop
Calquence
(acalabrutinib) for this and another said I have to stop for FIVE DAYS pre- and post-procedure. The latter seems excessive. I once stopped for 7 days pre and post major surgery (removal of ovary and fallopian tubes) but this mole removal is minor.

UMRD redults
My results from 3 months ago went from 0.01 to 0.007 I have been treated with
Calquence
since 2/2020 and added Venetoclax on 2/2022. The plan was to stay on these 2 drug combination for 2 years and hopefully be able to come off treatment if labs showed remission.

Calquence/Acalbrutinib and Fatigue
I experience increased fatigue daily four hours after taking my first pill at 6:00 am. I have to take a nap for at least 1/2 hour. The rest of the day, my fatigue is less. I am aware that low blood cells can cause fatigue. I am curious as to why four hours after taking my morning pill.

Calquence and AFib
Don`t let my experience put anyone off trying
calquence
as we all react differently. I`ve been on it 2.5years with no problems. Just annoying that it`s started as I go into remission. Just hope I don`t start haemolysing again.

atrial fibrillation and shortness of breath
I was diagnosed back in February of 2021 with CLL and almost immediately went on
Calquence
twice a day 100 mg. It took approximately 3-4 months for numbers to come back in the normal range and they have been fine ever since.

Accidently took 2 Calquence tablets last night instead of one
I've been on
Calquence
for about 1.5 years. Started with 1 pill 2x daily and eventually cut back to just the evening dose. The morning dose was more than I could handle.

Acupuncture and CLL?
I'd love for my husband - who takes
Calquence
- to try it as a stress reliever and general wellness support, but wasn't sure if there were any contraindications for CLL patients.

I am taking

O+V treatment in Canada after Calquence
I was excited at the prospect of a new treatment after
Calquence
( Alcalabrutinib) which caused afib for me, so was reduced to one capsule per day along with heart meds. Now I am terrified. Thank you for encouraging words 🙏🏼

bowel leakage
I was taking Imbruvica for 3years, then switched to and currently taking
Calquence
for the past 3 years. In recent weeks have experienced bowel leakage on occasion. Might that be related to the medication?

IVIG - how soon does it benefit?
My husband - CLL, on
Calquence
since April 2021 - has begun a schedule of monthly IVIG, mainly because he had 2 life threatening infections late spring/early summer (staph that went rogue, followed by c. Diff thanks to months of antibiotics).

He has become more symptomatic and they want to give him
Calquence

Pirtobrutinib approved by my insurance company
On my last visit to Upenn, my blood counts were significantly higher and after 4 years on
Calquence
, it has stopped working. My specialist was hoping I’d make it thru January 2024 when they expect Pirto to approved for CLL, but that’s not likely.

Health Insurance Advice
My husband is now being treated with
Calquence
/alacalabrutinib for his CLL following the infection. He feels 100% better. We had to declare that he was now on treatment to StaySure. They got back to us today to say they would no longer insure us!
