Underactive thyroid help please
It appears my Vitamin D level is low,
calcium
level is a bit under and T3 is bang on the bottom end of being in range. The test was taken early in the morning with no food eaten or medication taken beforehand.

Newbie needing help to understand blood results.
And reduced my
calcium
from 3 x 500mg a day to 1 a day. So I have just had another blood test but a limited one this time (as he requested) and these are my results. Although my knowledge is very limited these results have completely foxed me!

Remaining on a low dose of pred indefinitely
Obviously I have to take the proper precautions -
calcium
, Vit D3,
calcium
rich foods, etc. to prevent osteoporosis.

Calcium and vitamin d intake to avoid osteoporosis while on pred?
I am curious to know how much
calcium
and vitamin d people are taking in order to stave off possible osteoporosis while taking prednisone. Currently, I'm taking about 1,000 mg per day of
calcium
, total, from food and supplement, and about 1400 IU (35 mcg) of vitamin d, mainly from supplements.

IBS general: my experience
Also, do not get vitamins with high
calcium
and magnesium content, as in large doses these carbonates will consume your stomach acid, and magnesium will give you diarrhoea (it is a laxative).

Vertebral fractures and starting zoledronic acid
I am taking plenty of
calcium
and vitamin D. I had an early menopause during cancer treatment in 2015/2016, T scores recovered between 2016 and 2018 but then fell between 2018 and 2020. My GP has now prescribed HRT for me at my request.

been feeling short of breath and almost restricted as if breathing through a straw sometimes...feeling of a lump n my throat.
Had
calcium
test and it is totally normal. Could this nodule be related to all the other symptoms or have I been building up more psychosomatic sensations because i knew something was wrong? It is 1.7cm x 1.32. Can you live with it or does it have to be removed?

Vitamin D for Afib?
Less
calcium
and eating cranberries etc) After I read this, I was quite skeptical. But, I had a thought, maybe my records might indicate something.

Update on seeing Electrophysiologist - and fed up.
I can’t take any
calcium
channel blockers as they all interact with another med I take, which is carbemazepine. When I do eventually need an AOC, the only one I can take is warfarin. Currently I cannot take any if the newer ones, due to this other medication. So my medications are limited.

Lupus and Heart Disease: Why You’re at Increased Risk
“Some, but not all, patients may benefit from things like coronary
calcium
scoring or other testing but this has not yet become standard of care.” If you’re unsure about your level of risk or are having any heart-related symptoms, ask your doctor if you should get additional testing.

Looking for feedback: should I consider meds again? Change drs?
My dr did not suggest
calcium
because he feels that I get enough with nutrition plus he thinks it can have negative cardiovascular risk). I am confused by all the approaches and info out there. Are my numbers mild or moderate? What happens if I just keep doing what I am doing without medication?

New to this group and looking to learn
It was my third DEXA scan over the last 10 years following removal of my thyroid for thyroid cancer and subsequent thyroid replacement therapy, and I've watched a continuing decrease in bone density in spite of taking
calcium
and exercising.
