Iron at night following meds?
My question is whether the absorption of oral iron (heme iron) with orange juice at night about two to three hours after taking pregabalin will be affected by the medication. I have been reading and I know that calcium and certain meds like antacids will interfere with the absorption of iron but I don

Transdermal Calcium? Pro's & Con's?
Has anyone tried this? I've just used the calcium calculator and I probably get around 200mg a week! 🙄 Can't really see a good way to raise my dietary intake... so many restrictions no dairy, nightshades, legumes, eggs, restricted meat, gluten and certain fruit and veg, histamine intolerance....

K2 and magnesium
HI all, sorry its me again. I was thinking of taking the above. What dose should I be looking for on both and also which type of magnesium as there is different types. I understand these help with the absorption of the calcium.

Cardiologist driven testing - I've

Hi All, It's been a while since I posted anything about myself. Since my last post maybe a year ago, my thyroid blood results have been very stable since deciding NOT to take the radioiodine option, I was offered. My latest results after being on 5mg carbimazole for 16 months has seen my: TSH rise

timing of medications
hiya - am getting confused about when to take all my meds and supplements throughout the day other then to leave 1hr after taking thyroxine and not having calcium tab within 4hrs of thyroxine. Does it matter when I have the rest or are there optimal times to take these meds/supplements. I wondered

vitamin advice
hi, I’ve got myself bogged down in an effort to take supplements to help with bone loss. I was diagnosed with osteopenia following a DEXA scan. I don’t want to take Alendronic acid and my GP agreed with me taking vitamin D3 + K2 mk7 and magnesium glycinate and to have a further DEXA scan in three years

Is Vitamin C ok to take with my other meds?
Hi I would like to start on collagen for my bones and my ageing skin. But most seem to contain Vitamin C. I have it in my head that I shouldn't take vitamin C for some reason but I don't know why. I currently take: ERFA Levo Lenzetto and micronised progesterone (HRT) Calcium Iron B Vits Fish

All regular use sublingual opioid medications etc how to protect your teeth.
REGULAR use of sublingual medications, from opioids to Valium etc I break mine into tiny pin head size pieces with a pill cutter. I know 200 mcg Temgesic or 2 mg of Buprenorphine looks very small, however I have followed this process for over 3 years now. - Reasons - Absorption in seconds - Better
