Updated thyroid levels - should i reduce my T4 slightly?
Hello to all you very knowledgeable folk I did some private blood tests to follow up on the introduction of T3 ie 5mg /day in Sept/October. I was going to increase it to 2x5mg after 6 weeks but my heart was a tiny bit jittery so deferred that. Query - given my free T4 level has increased, and TSH

MRI all clear ‘normal’
Had a classic ‘normal’ from the ENT specialist today. MRI scan of nodules and adenomas in thyroid and close to parathyroid. ENT: Scan is normal, PTH is normal. Tells me what parathyroids are and what they do. Me: yeah I’ve watched the videos of the clinic in Florida, they say you can’t tell if they

T4 am/pm split dosing
Hi all, I’m currently taking all my thyroid medication in the morning and then having breakfast 1.5-2 hours later. I avoid taking any of the vitamins that may hamper absorption such as iron, magnesium etc until at least 4 hours later. I’m on 137.5 Levothyroxine (I take 150mcg one day and then alternate

New to RLS…confused, frustrated and a bit frightened.

D3 + K 2 and magnesium supplements
Hi, I don’t know if actually being given levo which suits me for 3 months (Mercury Pharma) or taking the above has helped, but my almost daily episodes of diarrhoea have cleared up. Also, I was having increasing chest pains which have completely cleared up taking vitamin D3. Just in case this helps anyone

Hyperparathyroidism
Hi there! I have been diagnosed as having possible primary hyperparathyroidism. I am a shocked that there is not a group for this disease. Can anyone help with this? So many people think I have something wrong with my thyroid when I say I have it, when in fact it is to do with the parathyroid glands

Amlodipine?
We've read here that Amlodipine could worsen RLS symptoms. I can't find references to trusted sources, i.e. Mayo Clinic, Dr. Buchfuhrer, etc. Will someone post a link for me? I am hoping to convince my husband's doctor to change his prescription away from calcium channel blockers. Thanks so much!

vitamin k2 thoughts ?
Hello Ladies and Gents There’s a lot of reading matter online about the claimed benefits of taking k2 to keep calcium from arteries and transporting it to bones where it should be. Does anyone have any info on any possible negative effects of k2 on heart patients on statins? otherwise it would seem

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology

Mitochondrial Protections from Exercise (Part Ib)
There have been very many studies published on the effects of exercise, especially of endurance/aerobic exercise, in restoring the number, the quality and the activity of mitochondria, both in the skeletal muscles, the heart and in the brain neurons. As these are our highest energy demanding tissues

A year and a half ago I broke my left wrist when I fell while playing tennis. This was a severe break and required surgery. Two weeks later I was in a car accident and broke my right hand. I was being treated at Mayo for both injuries and I asked my orthopedic surgeon if I had osteoporosis. She said

I love how knowledgeable and helpful people have been on here so I’m back! Nov 22 - TSH was 0.13. Doc was concerned I was over-medicated but I felt great, so she left me on my dose which was alternating 75mg one day and 100 the next. Jan 23 - TSH was 0.37. Not sure if it means anything that it’

A diagnosis! Yipee! Kawasaki Disease, look for calcified aneurysms! (also a question about warfarin)
Hey you lovely lot! So, some of you know that I needed a 2x CABG Jan 2022 aged 34 (very nearly my newly plumbed heart's birthday!) and every Dr/Cardiologiost that looked at my notes/history/angiograms came away scratching their heads and not understanding what had happened or why my vessels were so
