How do people with endo survive babies?
My little daughter turned 11 months today. I go for my diagnostic laparoscopy on Thursday. This has officially been the worst year of my life. Between the appalling pregnancy with the undiagnosed cyst on my ovary, the crap c-section when mysteriously I couldn't deliver (shock cyst in way!!), the cyst

Going in for a laparoscopy to see if have endo - what should I take?
In under 2 weeks time I'm going in for my much delayed lap to see if I have endo. No treatment, no coil, just a look-see. I am thinking about what to take.. Loose clothes to wear afterwards, toiletries for a shower to get the post-op gunge off, pain relief, iPod for something to listen to, tissues for

Just out of Curiosity, what age did you feel you started with Lupus signs and symptoms? Age of diagnosis?
How long have you lived with the illness? Does the condition, with management gHowet easier as you get older?, (women - post menopause) - is this in remission? I will go first! I think that my Sjorgren's Syndrome, (and possibly Lupus SLE - but not 100% sure on this auto immune disorder), commenced

Endo and Complex Atypical Hyperplasia
Hi all, well went to the hospital today and they have discovered from the biopsy that I had taken that I have Complex atypical hyperplasia of the endometrium .If this isn't treated with a full hysterectomy can eventually turn to Cancer. Shocked is an understatement and can honestly say I'm so scared

My APS caused multiple TIAs which resulted in me being wrongly diagnosed with postnatal psychosis.
OK – here’s the quick version: Found out I have APS after a stroke when my son was barely 7 weeks old. Had been misdirected to a mental health facility where they treated me the dangerous atypical antipsychotic olanzpine. The Committee on Safety Of Medicines issued a statement in 2005 which

Goodness me, I may have 'stage fright'
Goodness me, I may have 'stage fright' I am in my forties, and have muddled along bringing up children, helping with the family business and fending off endless health problems as well as I can. As a small child up to teenage years, it became the norm to feel as if I was just about to have flu, or indeed

Causes of Childhood Asthma
Sorry I hope you dont mind. I am new to the site as my son has been diagnosed with Asthma today. I have some questions about why. I suppose this is natural in parents to want to understand and I am trying not to blame myself but its difficult. I quit smoking the day I discovered I was pregnant and never

Pregnancy and Asthma
Hi all, I know I don't post very often but I do read the boards regually. I was wondering how many of you out there ran into problems during your pregnancy? Brittle/severe asthma and pregnancy - advice needed please!
My consultant has already told me that I need to be more stable and go a few months without any excerbations or admissions before I attempt it, and he's said that delivery would probably be by elective

at about 36 weeks if I could manage to go that long.

Re: caesarean section may cause asthma in children
Both my sons were born via C-section; number 1 due to a 44-hour prolonged labour with severe complications, and number 2 due to number 1's failure to appear! Yet it's number 2 who has asthma, but was an elective C-section. He had bronchiolitis at 10 weeks old and has had breathing difficulties ever since

Nice funding
I heard this morning that NICE have decided that women should be oftered a C-section even if it's not medically indicated Now i assumed that the NHS like the rest of the public sector was facing huge cutbacks in funding so how have they come to this decision? There are regular incidents of people
