Have you all heard about a Birth Afterthoughts Service that may be available in your NHS Trust?
Last Thursday I went to the JR Hospital in Oxford, where I gave birth in Sept 2011, to meet with a midwife in their Birth Afterthoughts Service. I had had a very traumatic time giving birth that resulted in an emergency c-section & a baby in Special Baby Care Unit that had 2 seizures within 24 hours

My daughter and BWS & Paediatricians in North England
I stumbled across BWS a week ago whilst googling Earlobe Creases. My 11 week old has creases in her earlobe (as does her Dad) and the Paediatrician that checked her over when she was born picked up on them but and told me they are sometimes a feature of syndromes but dismissed it as she saw that my

Has anyone used skin glue for a C-section?
I had my 1st C-section in India where glue was used to close the incision. Can I ask for the same here in UK?

Shikha's Story - PART I
I am 33 years old and I am a proud breast cancer survivor. Had I been in my daughter's place, I could have been a previvor. Who is a previvor? A previvor is someone who would be preventative of cancer, a person who has more knowledge about their family history and wants

Advise on second pregnancy
just wanted to ask anyone who has gone through this, our first baby died during labour from GBS and my biggest worry through the next pregnancy is going into labour early, our first baby died before I was classed as being in established labour. The thought terrifies me, we're hoping to have a c section

Am I just blue or depressed?
I had my baby five weeks ago by c section and have been feeling really sad and out of it ever since. The c section was unexpected and I cried probably solidly for ten days after he was born and thought it was just baby blues. However, I can't seem to feel happy. I've read possible symptoms of PND and

Low platelets?
I'm 16 weeks and was at the midwife yesterday. When reviewing my blood results she said my platelets were a bit low 130 (normal is 140 up) so took more blood to get them re-checked. Has anyone else ever had low platelets in pregnancy? I'm not overly worried at present but I know that platelets help

Had a preterm labor with lots of clots, and now a blood clot in arm. Possible APS?
I have had a myriad of symptoms. In July I began going into preterm labor with my daughter at 32 weeks. When the doctor was performing the c section, I remember him saying "Wow, where did all these clots come from?" and I just kept passing them after that and they were huge. The baby was okay and in

Vaginal delivery after emergency c section
Dear all, I just want to hear your experiences and what your advice would be. With my first pregnancy I was induced at 42 weeks and endeded up having an emergency c sectio when labour wouldn't progress. It was a pretty traumatic experience as contractions started in the early hours of Monday morning
