why does T3 make me feel worse?
This is what I just googled in desperation after trialing 2.5mcg of T3 again after many months of T4 only due to T3 failed attempts. It’s not in my head, it’s a very specific feeling a few hours after taking it and that feeling is severely hypothyroid. I can hardly think or operate my brain. Google

Hi everyone I have had hypothyroidism for a number of years and have been on 150mg of thyroxine. In the last month I have lost over a stone and my recent blood test showed my TSH was 0.07 and Free T3 & T4 normal. The doctor has told me to take 150mg 6 days a week and 100mg on one day a week. Hello all So after years of a tummy that reacted to certain foods, being diagnosed as gluten intolerant in 2016, really suffering in 2021 and 2022, following a FODMAP diet recommended by my doctor (don’t recommend) and getting to a point where I only ate the same plain things everyday, I finally paid

Many Nodules on your thyroid? under/over?
Hi there, Sorry for the posts but my endo is basically no help at all!!! This is only place I can get any answers. I am still waiting on a result for my dominate nodule biopsy . which was 1.9in size . In the meantime, I'm just wondering as they said I had quite a few nodules on my thyroid

Test results and lowered levo
Hi, Wondering if I can get some advice! During a visit to an endocrinologist (unrelated to my thyroid problems) I was surprised with thyroid function tests mid-afternoon. The results (TSH 0.04 & T4 20.4) led to the endo recommending my levothyroxine be dropped from 100mcg (a dose I’ve been on for

Genetic testing for female when using donor sperm
I am in the process of ordering donor straws for IUI treatment and finding it really hard to find donors who are CMV negative in the UK and Europe. I have found a few US samples that match what I am after but there is no genetics testing/matching available on the site for buyers outside the US or Canada

Hello lovely people. Just had appointment with private Endo who has prescribed T3, 5mcgs twice a day+T4 175mcgs. His PA to send my T3 meds (20mcgs) for which I will now get a pill cutter. To retest in about a month's time. He is writing to GP (who said T3 irrelevant), copy to me. So, is there a best

Heart Attack at 38
Hi, I first posted on the thyroid board but was sent here to check with the knowledgeable people here. At the end of January I had a heart attack. The doctors said it was due to taking T3 for my thyroid but I’ve read a lot of conflicting information as to whether T3 would cause this or not and the

Ferritin Levels
Hello, Recent blood test shows Ferritin at 118 (30 - 650 ug/L). I'm struggling to understand if that's ok as the range appears to have changed. When it was tested in September 2023 it was 112 but the range was 15-200ug/L. Is the range change significant? My brain says it makes my level lower as

On my last blood test my TSH increased from 0.32 to 3.47 and it is assumed by the Endo that I’m over medicated. I was for 10 weeks on 10 mg of Carbimazole and the dose was reduced from

Possible kidney disease
Hi friends, after a recent flare-up I got some routine testing done, and one of the kidney markers showed up in a urine test. It showed micro-proteins, or mircoalbuminuria, which is different to the protein that shows up for a UTI. Apparently, the microalbuminuria means the kidneys are leaking, which
