I have had a variety of thyroid blood tests done over the last 12 months. The First few showed subclinical hyperthyroidism. Then one test recently showed subclinical hypothyroidism. I don’t feel like myself. I have no get up and go at all. I’m either uncomfortably hot or uncomfortably cold. I

advice on results please!!
Hi, I recently had my bloods done with monitor my health on 10/01/24 and the results indicated low folate and thyroid levels not optimal. I then spoke to my GP but they dismissed the private tests and asked for me to have my bloods done again which I had done on 25/01/24 only because I got the appointment

Help with latest blood test results and Vit D3 advice
Hello everyone,I would really appreciate any advice regarding my latest fasting blood tests, done before taking my Levothyroxine tablet. I am still on 75mcg Levothyroxine since diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2010. After my latest post, around Nov 2022, I followed the advice I was given and started taking

Hashimoto's & Multiple Sclerosis (apologies for two posts in very quick succession!)
Hello - first off, sorry for making two posts in quick succession asking for help! As I mentioned in my first question about an Endo Department, there has been a 'twist' in my Hashi's (I actually have Ord's: autoimmune thyroid disease with no goitre) story... Over the course of several blood tests,

Looking for low or suppressed TSH research papers
Hello. I’m on combination T4/T3. I have an endo appointment soon. He reduced my Levo last year because of suppressed TSH. I want to be able to argue for it to be increased again so would need to take along some research that says it’s okay for TSH to be suppressed when on T3. Can anyone help with some

Is it possible to obtain NDT without precription?
I got T3 for 20 years from a source abroad but that avenue is closed now. I'm trying to find and change to desiccated thyroid. Does anybody know where I could find it?

Got to laugh.. (urgent referral to endo😂)
Firstly I saw gp on Nov 9th she told me I need to be seen by an endocrinologist as urgent referral, she also stopped my T3 medication saying "you will get the feferal before your T3 runs out" this is because of your last blood work (hypo) 😂.I explained I've got around 7/8 days supply left🙄 just got

what are optimal T3 and T4 levels?
Hello, i had my endocrinologist appt and she didn't seem particularly interested in my -low free T4 levels (several times they have been under range or at the very bottom of the range) -free T3 which last time it was checked was 3.89 in range 3.1-6.8 she has done more bloods, if they are the same

ESR blood test
just wondering whether anyone knows if Thyroxine affects ESR blood test results. Having taken higher dose of thyroxine for a few weeks now my TSH has reduced considerably from 4.62 to 1.6 but an ESR blood test was done at the same time and is now above the reference range and registered at 24. My previous

Hello everyone, I have been a reader of the forum for a while now and it is nice to know so many other people are struggling with un-resolved thyroid problems. This forum was the first place where I thought wow, these guys get it. I have hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome, I was diagnosed with MS

Latest results and problems raising dose
TL;DR - should I continue to try increasing my NDT dose slightly (from 1.75 to 2 grains per day, split dosing) based on the test results below, though I am getting some symptoms after increase (mild anxiety, hot flushes and sweats, and palpitations)? Further info/details below the results Inflammation

Armour ndt and dehydration
Hi guys. I've been on Armour 5 months now. First three on 60mcg and now 90 the last two. I feel no different just as I didn't on thyroid S. (My endo is monitoring the dose) the odd thing was my first blood test after taking for about 6 weeks, my T4 was 45. Never had such a high t4 in years so not sure

are hot flushes associated with hypothyroidism?
I’m in the process of being investigated for hypothyroidism, after a couple of private blood tests, most recent showing TSH of 5.06 mIU/l, free T3 of 3.9 pmol/l, free T4 14.3 pmol/l, TPO Ab 41.7 kIU/l My GP has been very supportive and has me booked for these tests to be repeated on the NHS to confirm
